A drywall punch device for creating holes in a drywall panel includes an actuator that is coupled to and positioned in a housing. A ram that is positioned in the housing between the actuator and a first end of the housing is operationally coupled to the actuator. Each of a set of cutters has a respective shape so that the set of cutters comprises cutters that have a variety of shapes. The cutter is selectively couplable to the first end of the housing so that the cutter is selectively extensible from the housing. The cutter is configured to be positioned in abutment to a drywall panel. The actuator is positioned to selectively propel the ram into the cutter so that the cutter extends from the housing and penetrates the drywall panel to create an aperture that corresponds to the respective shape of the cutter.

A method of making a barbed microcatheter having fluid egress openings includes obtaining a barbed microcatheter blank having a hollow tube with a proximal end, a distal end, and an elongated lumen that extends between the proximal and distal ends of the hollow tube, and first and second flattened regions that extend along opposite sides of the hollow tube. The method includes removing material from the first and second flattened regions of the barbed microcatheter blank to form barbs projecting outwardly from the opposite sides of the hollow tube, and using cutting elements for forming fluid egress openings in a wall of the hollow tube that are in fluid communication with the elongated lumen of the hollow tube. The method includes forming a tissue anchor that is connected with the proximal end of the hollow tube, and securing a surgical needle with the distal end of the hollow tube.

Hydraulically actuated piston guided in a cylinder, and hydraulic working tool
10821593 · 2020-11-03 · ·

The invention relates to a hydraulically actuated piston (9) guided in a cylinder (8), and to a hydraulic working tool (1) having a working head (2), wherein the piston (9) has an impact surface (15) which borders an impact space (16) on the piston side provided between the piston (9) and the cylinder (8), and wherein hydraulic fluid (17) can act on the impact surface (15) by increasing the impact space (16) in order to move the piston (9) in an impact direction (r), and the piston (9) forms a limiting device (25) for a through-flow of the hydraulic fluid (17). According to the invention, in order to design a hydraulic piston guided in a cylinder or a hydraulic working tool in such a way that no undue signs of wear occur even during working processes with the sudden disappearance of the counter pressure, a hydraulic chamber (19) filled with the hydraulic fluid (17) is formed in the impact direction (r) after the limiting device (25), wherein a volume of the hydraulic chamber (19) is reduced according to the increase in the impact space (16), by means of the displacement of hydraulic fluid (17) out of the hydraulic chamber (19) and into the impact space (16) via the limiting device (25).

Method for operating a hydraulically operated hand-held device and hydraulically operated hand-held device

A method for operating a hydraulically operated hand-held device is provided. The hand-held device includes a hydraulic pump, a moving part, a fixed part and a return valve with an associated valve seat. The moving part can be displaced into a working position by a build-up of hydraulic pressure produced by filling a hydraulic chamber with hydraulic medium from a storage chamber using the hydraulic pump. The moving part can be automatically moved back from the working position into an end position by opening the return valve, if a predetermined working pressure is reached. The hydraulic pressure acting upon the return valve for triggering a movement of the moving part into the end position is increased independently of reaching the predefined working pressure.
