Oil-water separator system for vacuum pumps and method employing same
An oil-water separation system for separating water from the oil of a vacuum pump used in maple sap extraction and returning filtered oil to the vacuum pump, includes a vacuum pump having an oil inlet port and an oil outlet port, an oil-water separator for separating water from oil having an inlet for receiving a waste water-oil mixture from the vacuum pump oil outlet port, a first outlet for returning filtered oil to the oil inlet port of the vacuum pump and a second outlet for removing water from the system.
METHOD OF PRODUCING AGARWOOD RESIN
A method of producing agarwood resin includes: Step (a): forming 4 to 8 first injection holes on an agarwood tree toward a pith of the agarwood tree, wherein each of the first injection holes has a starting end and a terminal end opposite each other, the starting ends of the 4 to 8 first injection holes are evenly distributed around a tree circumference of the agarwood tree, and the terminal ends of the 4 to 8 first injection holes are connected to the xylem of agarwood tree; and Step (b): supplying a gas with a pump into the 4 to 8 first injection holes under pressure to damage the xylem of the agarwood tree in order to produce agarwood resin.

Method and apparatus for collecting sap
The invention relates to a method for collecting sap from a tree. The method comprises a collection stage and an analysis stage, in which the purity of the sap being collected is determined and, on the basis of the information obtained, the collection stage is terminated. With the aid of the method, sap is produced, in which additives are not used, and which is not heat-treated, and which has, however, good preservability at room temperature. The invention also relates to an apparatus for collecting sap from a tree.

Remote monitoring system
A remote monitoring system and a method of operating a system having a pump is provided. The remote monitoring system includes a vacuum/pressure sensor coupled to measure a vacuum or a pressure in the system. A temperature sensor is positioned to measure an ambient temperature. A fluid level sensor is positioned to measure fluid in a collection tank. A controller is operably coupled to the vacuum/pressure sensor, the temperature sensor and the fluid level sensor, the controller having a communications circuit that is operable to transmit and receive signals via a cellular SMS text message communications medium, the controller having one or more processors that are responsive to nontransitory executable computer instructions, the one or more processors being responsive to change the operation of the pump in response to an operating signal from the communications circuit, the temperature sensor or the vacuum/pressure sensor or the fluid level sensor.

CLAMP FOR SUPPORTING FLEXIBLE TUBES
The clamp includes a hollow base having an open top side, two opposed open ends, and an inner sidewall bordering a bottom side as well as two opposite lateral sides of the base. The inner sidewall defines a passage extending between the two opposite open ends and through which a flexible tube can pass. The clamp also includes a slidable part inserted into the base at one of its ends to close its top side. The proposed concept is particularly advantageous for sugar making.
