Crossclipping and bundling system and method for veneer packets
An apparatus for clipping ends of a book of sheets includes a first detector for detecting a first end of the book of sheets, a clipper positioning system and a first clipper including a knife. The clipper positioning system is adapted to automatically position the first clipper to a proposed first clipping position based on the detected first end of the book of sheets. A method of processing a plurality of sheets includes assembling the plurality of sheets into a book of sheets, detecting a first end of the book of sheets to propose a first position for clipping the book of sheets, positioning a first clipper based on the detected first end of the book of sheets, advancing the book of sheets to an infeed conveyor, detecting, the presence of the book of sheets in the infeed conveyor, advancing the book of sheets to the first clipper, clipping the first end of the book of sheets, and advancing the book of sheets from the first clipper.

Adjustable hold-down shoe assembly, planer mill trimmer having the assembly mounted thereon, and method of using the assembly to hold down lumber during end cutting by a planer mill trimmer
An adjustable hold-down shoe assembly having an assembly body, a plurality of hold-down shoes movably mounted to the assembly body, a bias device that biases the plurality of hold-down shoes in a direction away from the lumber bias surface, a body mount, and a lifting/lowering mechanism movably connecting the assembly body to the body mount that moves the assembly body in relation to the body mount and in a first direction towards the lumber bias surface and in a second direction away from the lumber bias surface. A planermill trimmer having the adjustable hold-down shoe assembly mounted thereon and a method of end trimming lumber using the planermill trimmer.

A planermill trimmer having the adjustable hold-down shoe assembly mounted thereon and a method of end trimming lumber using the planermill trimmer.
Two-bladed table saw with selective stationary blade
A table saw having a stationary blade and a parallel moveable blade for straightening uneven dimensional lumber of the type used in cabinetry and other relatively fine woodworking. The table saw has a workpiece support frame with a lateral blade opening allowing the moveable blade to be shifted laterally and adjust the spacing between the blades. Powered feed rollers located above the table are used to clamp and feed a workpiece through the table while preventing kickback. A sacrificial fence including a blade guard recess is associated with the stationary blade, and includes a shutoff switch automatically activated to disable the stationary blade for solo use of the moveable blade.
