INDUSTRIAL WOOD CHIPPER KNIFE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN INDUSTRIAL WOOD CHIPPER KNIFE
A chipper has a knife clamped between a clamp and a counter knife that sits on a holder. The knife, damp, and counter knife are collectively positioned in a machined area formed in a holder that is in turn within a larger recess formed in a chipping disk or chipping drum.
A first fastener secures the knife holder to the chipping disk, a second fastener secures the clamp to the knife holder, and a third fastener secures the counter knife lo the knife holder. The knife comprises a ridge which is formed by the termination in two straight lines which form a triangle shape on the bottom of the knife. These straight lines reduce the manufacturing cost of the knife and provide support for the knife to locate. The knife is also manufactured without 100% grinding of all services, which is unique in that this reduces manufacturing costs dramatically.

Knife, knife holder and knife assembly and method of using the same
The present invention relates to a knife, knife holder and knife assembly for cutting and shaping wood logs. The knife assembly provides an improved knife stability and a flexible adjustment of the different components of the knife assembly. The present invention allows both the underside clamping and the topside clamping of the knife assembly to a support tool and provides a method for both clamping processes.

Milling tool and cutting element for use in a milling tool
A milling tool has a support member with an exterior surface with at least one receptacle, wherein the at least one receptacle has a bottom. At least one cutting element provided with a cutter having a cutting edge is positioned in the at least one receptacle. A three-point support is arranged between the at least one cutting element and the bottom of the at least one receptacle for positioning the cutting edge relative to the bottom of the at least one receptacle. The three-point support comprises three support pads arranged at a bottom side of the at least one cutting element and/or three projections arranged at the bottom of the at least one receptacle.

Wood chipper knife
A wood chipper knife includes a knife body and, in relation to a vertical axis of the wood chipper knife, at least one cutter side, which comprises a top cutting edge portion and a bottom cutting edge portion that intersect to form a cutting edge. The bottom cutting edge portion includes a planar wood attacking portion, which begins at the cutting edge and towards the knife body is followed by a recess. The recess is a pressure release recess, which, from the wood attacking portion, abruptly falls to a bottom of the pressure release recess, and which stretches from the wood attacking portion to the knife body. The knife body comprises a chip guiding portion, which, from the pressure release recess, rises towards the knife body.

Planer head
A planer head includes a cylindrical body having a first end, a second end and a crenelated curved face extending therebetween and including a plurality of pockets receiving a plurality of knives and knife holders. A clamping assembly connects each of the plurality of knife holders to their corresponding knives by frictional engagement. The clamping assembly includes at least one pair of clamping elements, each being disposed on a corresponding one of the first and second ends of the body. When moved in the longitudinal direction toward each other, the at least one pair of clamping elements forcing the plurality of knife holders in the radial direction thereby engaging in friction the knife holders with their corresponding knives and knife pockets of the body. A number of pairs of clamping elements is lower than a number of at least one of knives and knife holders. A kit for a planer head assembly, a clamping assembly, and a planer body are also presented.
