CIRCULAR SAWS INCLUDING TRANSPARENT WINDOWS THAT EXTEND WITHIN BLADE GUARD OPENINGS AND COVER FASTENING STRUCTURES
Circular saws with transparent windows that extend within blade guard openings and cover fastening structures. The circular saws include a motor and an arbor configured to operatively attach a circular saw blade to the circular saw. The circular saws also include a blade guard. The blade guard includes a blade guard opening, which is positioned to permit a user of the circular saw to view a leading edge of the circular saw blade as the circular saw cuts a workpiece. The circular saws also include a transparent window, which extends within the blade guard opening, and a cover fastening structure, which is configured to selectively attach a splinter guard to the blade guard while the transparent window extends within the blade guard opening.
CIRCULAR SAW
A circular saw includes a blade guard and a saw blade at least partially enclosed within the blade guard. The saw blade has an outer diameter that is greater than 6 inches. The circular saw further includes a motor housing coupled to the blade guard, a brushless electric motor supported within the motor housing, and a battery pack for providing power to the brushless electric motor.
PORTABLE MACHINING APPARATUS
A portable machining apparatus facilitates addition of new electric components with an intended arrangement of various electric components. The portable machining apparatus includes a housing, an electric motor installed in the housing and including a motor shaft extending in an axial direction, a tip tool partially or fully exposed outside the housing and rotatable by the electric motor, a controller installed in the housing and aligned with the electric motor in the axial direction to control an operation of the electric motor, and a first electric component and a second electric component installed in an electric component compartment between the controller and the electric motor. The first electric component and the second electric component are aligned in a same plane perpendicular to an axis of the motor shaft.
WORK MACHINE
Provided is a work machine with improved operatability. In a cutting tool, a guard member that is made of metal is provided inside a chip discharge passage section, and a bottom wall of the chip discharge passage section on a saw blade side is covered by the guard member. In other words, a bottom surface of the chip discharge passage section is guarded by the guard member that is made of metal. Accordingly, the guard member can prevent high-temperature metal chips from coming into direct contact with the bottom wall of the chip discharge passage section. Thus, deformation of the chip discharge passage section when chips pass through the chip discharge passage section can be suppressed. Consequently, the durability of a saw cover can be increased, and the operatability of the cutting tool can be improved.
Portable cutting machine
A suspending member, such as a tether strap or the like, may by connected to improve convenience for an operator. The function of the suspending member shall be reliably performed by clearly notifying the user when the connecting part for connecting the suspending member is damaged. A ring-shaped notification member is incorporated in a connecting part for connecting the suspending member. The suspending member is inserted into both of a connecting hole in a connecting part and a notification member so as to be connected. When an end of a handle portion breaks due to long-term use, the notification member is pulled out such that the damage of the connecting part is notified.
Portable cutting machine
A suspending member, such as a tether strap or the like, may by connected to improve convenience for an operator. The function of the suspending member shall be reliably performed by clearly notifying the user when the connecting part for connecting the suspending member is damaged. A ring-shaped notification member is incorporated in a connecting part for connecting the suspending member. The suspending member is inserted into both of a connecting hole in a connecting part and a notification member so as to be connected. When an end of a handle portion breaks due to long-term use, the notification member is pulled out such that the damage of the connecting part is notified.
PORTABLE CUTTING APPARATUS
A portable cutting apparatus includes a base, a main body and a cover both on a second side of the base. The main body is displaceable relative to the base and the cover between a first position, where a blade is entirely contained in the cover, and a second position, where the blade protrudes to a first side opposite the second side beyond the base. The cover includes a cover main body, and an auxiliary cover located in proximity to the base and movable relative to the cover main body. The main body portion and the cover main body are tiltable about a first axis located on the first side of the base. The auxiliary cover is at least partially tilted about a second axis located on the second side of a surface of the base on the first side in conjunction with the tilting of the cover main body.
PORTABLE MACHINING APPARATUS
A portable machining apparatus includes a main body, a cover including a cover main body and a door, a door open/close mechanism, and a lock to lock the open/close mechanism in a closed state displaceably supported by the cover main body or the main body portion. The main body is displaceable relative to the cover between a first position entirely containing the tip tool in the cover, and a second position partially exposing the tip tool outside the cover. The lock is manually displaceable between a position blocking the door from opening, and a position permitting the door to open. The lock is displaceable when the main body is at the first position, and is not displaceable by abutment between the other of the cover main body and the main body and the lock operation member when the main body is at a position other than the first position.
PORTABLE MACHINING APPARATUS
A portable machining apparatus includes a main body, a cover including a cover main body and a door, a door open/close mechanism, and a lock to lock the open/close mechanism in a closed state displaceably supported by the cover main body or the main body portion. The main body is displaceable relative to the cover between a first position entirely containing the tip tool in the cover, and a second position partially exposing the tip tool outside the cover. The lock is manually displaceable between a position blocking the door from opening, and a position permitting the door to open. The lock is displaceable when the main body is at the first position, and is not displaceable by abutment between the other of the cover main body and the main body and the lock operation member when the main body is at a position other than the first position.
HANDHELD CIRCULAR SAW
There is provided a handheld circular saw comprising a main body. The main body comprises a fixed blade guard configured to receive a circular cutting blade having an axis of rotation. A graspable handle is arranged in a forward position on the main body to enable a user to wield the power tool in use and a movable blade guard is arranged to surround at least a part of the cutting blade. An actuator arrangement configured to move the movable blade guard from a first position to a second position, where a greater proportion of the cutting blade is exposed in the second position than in the first position, the actuator arrangement having an actuator grip to enable the user to activate the actuator arrangement. The actuator grip is located and arranged forwardly of the graspable handle to enable actuation by the fingers of the user's hand which is grasping the graspable handle in use.
