A method for producing an engineered wood board. The method includes production of the substrate and application of a fluid to an application area of the substrate by means of an applicator, where the monitoring of the application occurs by means of an infra-red camera such that an inhomogeneity of the application can be detected.

The disclosure relates to a process for manufacturing fiber boards with reduced VOC emissions.

Wood scrap and binder components forming raw material (1) of a pallet block are prepared in accordance with predetermined mechanical properties of the pallet block to be produced with a mass equal to the predetermined mass of the finished pallet block. The prepared components are mixed and fed into a press mould (3) of a press die (2), pressed to size, and the binder is cross-linked applying heat externally by the aid of the side walls (11) of the press mould (3) and at the same time internally by applying heat to the central region of the pallet base material (1) via a central forming mandrel (14) conducting hot steam into the pressed the pallet block, thereby promoting the cross-linking of the pallet base material's binder in short time. The invention also relates to an apparatus implementing the method.

A method and a plant for the production of material boards from at least one material which is spread to form a press mat and mixed with at least one binder curable by heat and/or pressure. The press mat is compressed in a double belt press with steel belts warmer than the press mat, and is heated by heat conduction. At least one cover layer resting against a steel belt is heated to a temperature above the curing temperature of the binder and cured at least partially. The uncured parts of the press mat are heated and cured in a downstream injection press by introducing tempered fluids to a temperature above the curing temperature of the binder. Fluids are introduced into or through the press mat through one or both cover layers. Also provided are a material board produced by a method and/or in such a plant.
