The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sheet from the pseudostem of the banana plant, including the steps of: cutting out a beam from a central portion of the pseudostem; cutting leaves from the beam; forming a sheet by assembling the leaves such that the latter overlap over a predetermined width; and pressing the resulting sheet.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF COEXTRUDING A HEMP COMPOSITE BOARD USING HEMP FEEDSTOCKS
20250073949 · 2025-03-06 ·

A method for producing environmentally friendly, coextruded hemp composite board (CHB) is provided. By using hemp fiber and hemp hurd in combination with virgin and/or recycled thermoplastics, the system and method may be used to create environmentally sound substitutes for traditional construction materials. The method generally comprises steps of obtaining hemp hurd/fiber and injecting said hemp hurd/fiber into an extruder along with a thermoplastic binder. Waste products from other production streams may be added as well to reduce waste/cost of said production streams. The resulting CHB is structurally superior to traditional construction materials largely due to the dispersed hemp hurd and hemp fiber, their encapsulation in a binder material and lower hygroscopic properties. Additionally, since the CHB is created using an extruder, a downstream extrusion arrangement may be used to mold the CHB into shapes that are difficult to achieve with traditional construction materials.

FORMING AND PRE-PRESSING STATION FOR FORMING A FIBERBOARD FROM LIGNOCELLULOSIC FIBERS
20250162193 · 2025-05-22 ·

A forming station for forming a fiberboard including compressed lignocellulosic fibers. The forming station includes a press arranged downstream of a forming belt, the forming belt being arranged downstream of a dosing station and at a lower vertical level than a delivery end of the dosing station. Further a pre-press is arranged over a part of the forming belt. The pre-press is arranged to pre-press the layer of dissolved and distributed lignocellulosic fibers by suction into a pre-compressed layer of lignocellulosic fibers.

METHOD AND PLANT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF MATERIAL BOARDS AND A MATERIAL BOARD

A method and a plant for the production of material boards from at least one material which is spread to form a press mat and mixed with at least one binder curable by heat and/or pressure. The press mat is compressed in a double belt press with steel belts warmer than the press mat, and is heated by heat conduction. At least one cover layer resting against a steel belt is heated to a temperature above the curing temperature of the binder and cured at least partially. The uncured parts of the press mat are heated and cured in a downstream injection press by introducing tempered fluids to a temperature above the curing temperature of the binder. Fluids are introduced into or through the press mat through one or both cover layers. Also provided are a material board produced by a method and/or in such a plant.

PLANT FIBRE PRODUCT

The invention relates in general to working or preserving a plant-fibre material, such as a wood-like material, and processing said material, such as in a plastic state in general, and may likewise be considered to be a technology of managing solid or solid-like waste materials, the waste materials comprising plant-fibre material.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRESSBOARD MANUFACTURING

A method for producing pressboard for electrical insulation, said method including, in any order: a) mechanically compressing at least one pressboard precursor suitable for electrical insulation, and b) emitting electromagnetic waves towards the pressboard precursor(s). The mechanical compression of the pressboard precursor includes sequentially passing the pressboard precursor through a plurality of compression stations, each compression station including at least one pair of rollers together compressing the pressboard precursor as it passes a gap between the respective pair or rollers, wherein the gap is smaller for each station in the sequence.
