WOOD FIBER-GLASS COMPOSITE
The general inventive concepts relate to engineered wood products. The engineered wood products demonstrate improved properties including acoustic damping, fire resistance, and water absorption relative to similar engineered wood products that comprise only a single source of fibers. In contrast, the inventive engineered wood products include a combination of at least two types of fibers.
PRESSING TOOL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PRESSING TOOL
A pressing tool has a support structure made of sheet steel. The pressing tool is formed by a press plate or endless belt and configured to press material panels in hot presses. The support structure of the pressing tool thereby has a coarse structure with a depth of at least 150 m produced by at least one processing operation. At least a partial region of the coarse structure is rounded by laser polishing. The surface of the pressing tool has a fine structure produced by at least one processing operation. Further, a method manufactures the pressing tool and a method manufactures a material panel using the pressing tool.

BINDER FOR WOOD-BASED PANELS COMPRISING AMINO ACID POLYMER AND POLYALDEHYDE COMPOUND
The invention relates to a process for producing a lignocellulosic composite comprising one or more lignocellulosic composite layers. The process comprises S1) providing or preparing a mixture, at least comprising: lignocellulosic particles and a binder composition, the binder composition comprising as components at least: c1) one or more amino acid polymers having two or more primary amino groups and c2) one or more polyaldehyde compounds. The process further comprises S2) compacting the mixture from step S1) to receive a compacted mixture, and S3) applying heat and optionally pressure to the compacted mixture from step S2), so that the binder of the binder composition hardens and a lignocellulosic composite results. The invention further relates to the use of the lignocellulosic composite. Moreover, the invention relates to a kit for producing a binder composition, for use in the production of a lignocellulosic composite, and to the use of such binder composition.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCTION OF PALLET BLOCKS
Wood scrap and binder components forming raw material (1) of a pallet block are prepared in accordance with predetermined mechanical properties of the pallet block to be produced with a mass equal to the predetermined mass of the finished pallet block. The prepared components are mixed and fed into a press mould (3) of a press die (2), pressed to size, and the binder is cross-linked applying heat externally by the aid of the side walls (11) of the press mould (3) and at the same time internally by applying heat to the central region of the pallet base material (1) via a central forming mandrel (14) conducting hot steam into the pressed the pallet block, thereby promoting the cross-linking of the pallet base material's binder in short time. The invention also relates to an apparatus implementing the method.
Binder composition, comprising basic substances, for producing a lignocellulosic composite, respective process, use and products
Described herein is a process for producing a lignocellulosic composite, a binder composition suitable for use in said process, as well as a lignocellulosic composite which can be produced by the process of the invention, and its use. Moreover is described herein a kit for producing a binder composition for use in the production of a lignocellulosic composite and a respective use of such binder composition.
EMBOSSING PLATES AND MOUNTING SYSTEMS FOR MULTI-OPENING PRESSES
The present disclosure describes methods, systems, and apparatuses for adapting a multi-opening press to produce embossed engineered wood products. An embossing plate is configured to be mounted to the bottom face of a movable plate with fasteners along the longitudinal sides or the bottom face of the movable plate. The movable plate has recesses between the top face and both longitudinal sides. When the press is closed, the fasteners attached to one movable plate are accommodated in the recesses of the next movable plate below. The collective width of the embossing plate and the respective fasteners is less than the distance between the rotational lug paths of conveyors mounted to the longitudinal sides of the movable plate, allowing the conveyors to be driven in a single direction to use the lugs in an alternating manner to move successive caul screens into the press opening.

A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CELLULOSE PRODUCT AND A CELLULOSE PRODUCT
A cellulose product comprising a non-flat cellulose product structure, a protective inner layer, and a protective outer layer. The cellulose product structure comprises an interior surface, an exterior surface, and an edge structure arranged between the interior surface and the exterior surface. The protective inner layer is applied to the interior surface, and the protective outer layer is arranged in connection to the exterior surface of the cellulose product structure. The protective inner layer and the protective outer layer are forming an integrated structure that is fully enclosing the cellulose product structure, and a sealed outer volume is formed by the protective inner layer and the protective outer layer.
