Examples described herein relate to a molded article provided with a resin part formed with a polyolefin resin composite material, the polyolefin resin composite material containing a polyolefin resin and 10 to 150 parts by mass of cellulose based on 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin resin, wherein an area of an aggregate of the cellulose is less than 20,000 m.sup.2.

A COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND COMPOSITE PRODUCT

The present invention is directed to a composite material comprising a cellulosic material, high impact polystyrene (HIPS) and styrene maleic anhydride (SMA). The cellulosic material may be thermally modified prior to being incorporated into the composite material. The present invention is also directed to a composite product that comprises the composite material according to the invention.

Composite

The invention concerns an extruded composite containing wood fibre material and polymer. The wood fibre material is wood material where the knot or branch content is at least 10 w-%, or bark, or would material into which extract material obtained by extracting knots, branches or bark has been absorbed. The amount of the polymer is 5-25% from the weight of the composite. The composite has high hardness, and reduced moisture absorption and swelling properties. It can be used as constructional material.

The plurality of extruded layers include varying thicknesses along a spiral length of the plurality of layers and/or portions of the plurality of extruded layers encircling the longitudinal axis include portions disposed at different distances from the longitudinal axis. In some embodiments, the spirally winding includes forming a cylindrical structure, and pressing the cylindrical structure into a cuboid structure having a square or rectangular cross-section across the longitudinal axis and at least a portion of the plurality of extruded layers defining a square or rectangle pattern across the longitudinal axis. Longitudinal portions may be cut from the structures to form the products having a wood grain appearance.

The composite structure includes at least one or more fiber-containing layers, such as fiberboard or other layers having fibers from natural and/or synthetic sources, and one or more mineral-containing layers. The mineral-containing layer(s) comprises a thermoplastic bonding agent fixing the mineral particles in place. The fiber-containing layer(s) and mineral-containing layer(s) can be shaped, sized, and manufactured such that the composite structure formed therefrom is capable of being machined to form the storage article. The composite structure can be repulped and recycled without the use of dispersions, emulsions, or aqueous solutions.
