Methods for forming a unitized crucible assembly

Methods for forming a unitized crucible assembly for holding a melt of silicon for forming a silicon ingot are disclosed. In some embodiments, the methods involve a porous crucible mold having a channel network with a bottom channel, an outer sidewall channel that extends from the bottom channel, and a central weir channel that extends from the bottom channel. A slip slurry may be added to the channel network and the liquid carrier of the slip slurry may be drawn into the mold. The resulting green body may be sintered to form the crucible assembly.

Pressure die casting mold for producing a casting

A pressure die casting mold for producing a casting which is part of an integral toilet having a body, a water ring, and a tank, wherein the casting, as an integral component, includes the water ring and the tank which is open on the upper side. The pressure die casting mold is composed of at least five molded parts which are interconnectable in a releasable manner, namely of a base part, two side parts having in each case one half of a front wall, a rear wall, and a cover part. The molded parts delimit a cavity which corresponds to the outer shape of the casting. A wedge element, which at least in portions delimits the inner shape of the water tank, is provided on the base part.

METHOD FOR DENSIFYING A FIBROUS TEXTURE BY INJECTING A SLIP

A method for densifying a fibrous texture made of ceramic material with a ceramic matrix used in injection equipment including a mold cavity defined between a mold and a counter-mold, the mold cavity defining an internal space, and a membrane comprising a stiffened zone, the membrane being intended to be placed between a fibrous texture present in the mold cavity and the counter-mold, and the stiffened zone of the membrane having a Young's modulus greater than 200 GPa, the method including placing a predensified fibrous texture in the mold cavity, the predensified fibrous texture having corrugations on the surface and placing the membrane on the predensified fibrous texture in such a way that the stiffened zone of the membrane is in contact with the peaks of the corrugations of the predensified fibrous texture; closing the injection equipment, and densifying.

Pressure casting of submicron ceramic particles and methods of ejection

Methods and apparatus are provided for pressure casting ceramic bodies. Methods and apparatus are provided for rapid ejection of cast ceramic bodies from a mold. A mold is described that has an impermeable cavity surface to provide dry release of the cast body. Ceramic bodies produced by the methods and apparatus have smooth, non-tacky surfaces after ejection from the mold.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR PRESSURE CASTING USING AN INDIRECT FEED

This disclosure is directed to an apparatus comprising a manifold removably coupled to a mold, wherein ceramic slurry is indirectly fed into the cavity of the mold. More specifically, ceramic slurry is directly fed into an exterior portion of the mold and subsequently indirectly fed into the mold cavity. In certain aspects, the mold cavity can further comprise one or more inserts for producing ceramic articles having smaller dimensions and/or of irregular shape by casting by using a two-directional ceramic slurry feed. In some aspects, excess ceramic slurry from the casting process can be recycled for subsequent runs via a pitch. Also disclosed herein is a method for pressure casting using an indirect feed.
