METHOD FOR DENSIFYING A FIBROUS TEXTURE BY INJECTING A SLIP

A method for densifying a fibrous texture made of ceramic material with a ceramic matrix used in injection equipment including a mold cavity defined between a mold and a counter-mold, the mold cavity defining an internal space, and a membrane comprising a stiffened zone, the membrane being intended to be placed between a fibrous texture present in the mold cavity and the counter-mold, and the stiffened zone of the membrane having a Young's modulus greater than 200 GPa, the method including placing a predensified fibrous texture in the mold cavity, the predensified fibrous texture having corrugations on the surface and placing the membrane on the predensified fibrous texture in such a way that the stiffened zone of the membrane is in contact with the peaks of the corrugations of the predensified fibrous texture; closing the injection equipment, and densifying.

METHOD, PLANT AND MOLDS FOR FORMING SLABS OF AGGLOMERATE
20250083356 · 2025-03-13 ·

A method for preparation of a mold (10) intended to form a slab from a mixture of agglomerate comprising the steps of depositing over the mold surfaces a sheet (15) of PVA-based plastic material so as to form with it a surface for subsequent contact with the mixture introduced into the mold for forming the slab, whereby in at least some areas a layer (14) of a fluid agent containing PVA in a solution is interposed between the sheet (15) and the mold surfaces. A plant for carrying out the method and a method for production of a slab are also described.

Disclosed is an apparatus for bonding a release film for separating an artificial stone from a rubber mold and, more particularly, to an apparatus for bonding a release film for separating an artificial stone from a rubber mold that allows for easy separation of a mold for manufacturing an artificial stone and an artificial stone manufactured in the mold without applying a release agent.

Seamless form system for stacked pottery forms
12454074 · 2025-10-28 · ·

The present invention provides a seamless form system designed to encase stacked pottery forms, creating a seamless surface for molding clay. This invention addresses issues such as unwanted seams, form shifting, and moisture damage. These issues are prevalent in traditional stackable wood or plaster forms. By providing a unitary, continuous piece without joints or seams, it ensures a smooth finish in the final ceramic products and extends the lifespan of pottery forms. The system simplifies the pottery-making process, enhances product quality, and supports sustainable practices. Ideal for artisans and manufacturers, the system improves pottery and ceramics production by enabling the creation of higher-quality, seamless items with improved efficiency.

PLASTIC ENCASED CARBONACEOUS FOAM MANDREL AND METHOD
20260102941 · 2026-04-16 · ·

A plastic encased mandrel includes an open cell carbonaceous foam that is shaped to correspond to a core of a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) part. A polyvinyl butyral (PVB) plastic is injection molded into the carbonaceous foam, before or after shaping, to encase the carbonaceous foam core and form an encased mandrel. The open cell carbonaceous foam may be silicon carbide (SiC) foam or reticulated vitreous carbon (RVC) foam. The foam core may be incorporated into the CMC part when SiC foam is used for better distribution of thermal and structural loads or the foam core may be removed from the CMC part when RVC foam is used, such as when a CMC vane incorporates a metal spar.
