TAPERED PLASTERBOARDS AND METHODS FOR MAKING THEM
Disclosed herein are plaster boards having a first surface and an opposing second surface, and a first edge and an opposing second edge that bound the first surface and the second surface.
The first surface includes a first section and a second section, the first section being raised compared to the second section, the second section abutting the second edge. The second surface includes a first section and a second section that are separated by a boundary between the first edge and the second edge. The first section of the second surface is substantially parallel to the first section of the first surface. The second section of the second surface slopes toward the first surface from the boundary toward the second edge. Methods for making the plaster boards involve forming wet plaster material and drying the wet plaster material such that the wet plaster material hardens into a plasterboard.
Casting core containing ceramic and method for manufacturing cast article using the same
A casting core containing a ceramic and having sufficient mechanical strength to withstand a casting process over a long period of time and good solubility in alkaline solutions. The casting core includes a core, a surface layer, and an intermediate layer between the core and the surface layer. The intermediate layer has a lower relative density than the surface layer and the core.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR CURING CONCRETE
An apparatus for curing concrete includes a multiple layer polyolefin film and an absorbent layer. The polyolefin film layer can include pH modifying components and antiskid components. The absorbent layer can also include pH modifying components. The absorbent layer can include nonwoven fabric. The apparatus can be applied to curing concrete after hydration water is applied to the curing concrete. The apparatus can also be used to enclose poured concrete members during transport of the members so as to continue the curing process during transport. The film can also be used as a barrier layer between the ground and poured concrete.
Faraday rotator and optical isolator based on this faraday rotator
To provide a faraday rotator using a TGG ceramic sintered compact and a light isolator using the faraday rotator such that the influence of scattered light can be relatively reduced and overall characteristics degradation for the entire light isolator is minimized so that a high extinction ratio of at least 38 dB or greater is achieved. [Solution] The faraday rotator according to the present invention uses a TGG ceramic sintered compact having an average particle diameter of 0.2 to 5.0 m, and has a transmission beam diameter of 0.3 mm or more, the TGG ceramic sintered compact being preferably annealed.
SMOOTHING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SMOOTHING A CONCRETE PART
The invention relates to a smoothing device (100, 200) for smoothing a structural concrete component (1), comprising a primary cutting edge (104, 204, 204, 204, 204) for separating a concrete layer from the structural concrete component, an axis of rotation (102, 202), and a smoothing surface (106, 206) aligned orthogonally to the axis of rotation (102, 202) for surface contacting of a cut surface of the structural concrete component (1) formed by the separation.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTER NOZZLE AND ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure relates to a nozzle for a three-dimensional printer. The nozzle comprises a body comprising an inlet, an outlet, and a flow path connecting the inlet and the outlet. The body comprises a leading side and a trailing side opposite the leading side. A tab positioned adjacent to the outlet extends outwardly relative to the trailing side of the body.
DAMAGED APPLICATOR IDENTIFIER SYSTEM FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM
A damaged applicator identifier system for an additive manufacturing (AM) system, and AM system including the same are disclosed. The damaged applicator identifier system may include a damaged applicator identifier determining whether the active applicator is damaged by identifying a non-planar surface in a layer of raw material on a build platform of the AM system after formation of the layer by the active applicator. A damaged applicator controller is configured to cause replacement or repair of the damaged, active applicator in response to the damaged applicator identifier identifying the damaged, active applicator.
Repair process using networked ceramic nanofibers
A repair process for an article such as an airfoil includes providing an article that has a substrate and a ceramic barrier coating disposed on the substrate, where the ceramic barrier coating has a damaged region, abrading the damaged region to provide dimple in the ceramic barrier coating, wherein a remaining region of the ceramic barrier coating adjacent the dimple remains intact, and depositing a patch of networked ceramic nanofibers in the dimple.
A THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING AND FINISHING DEVICE FOR FORMING AND FINISHING A CURABLE CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
A three-dimensional (3D) printing and finishing device (100) and a method for forming and finishing a curable construction material to produce a 3D printed object. The 3D printing and finishing device (100) can include a structural support (102), a print head (104), and a finishing unit (116). The print head (104) can move to dispense a curable material in layers and the finishing unit (116) can align with a side of the dispensed layers and can modify a surface of the material. The finishing unit (116) can include a nozzle to dispense fluid toward the surface.
DECORATIVE CONCRETE WITH UNIFORM SURFACE AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME
A decorative concrete with a very uniform finish surface and a method of fabricating the same is disclosed. A concrete mixture is poured over a subgrade which defines an exposed surface. The exposed surface is finished with any of several techniques, and the surface is then worked with an abrasive material, and additional techniques are used to color and seal the concrete.
