Nasal mucus suction device and channel forming method thereof
A nasal mucus suction device includes an air pump and a head structure. The air pump has an intake tube and an outlet tube. The head structure is coupled to the intake tube and the outlet tube of the air pump, and defines a channel between a nasal mucus suction inlet and a gas outlet. The channel includes a first channel section in communication with the nasal mucus suction inlet, and a second channel section in communication with the gas outlet. The first channel section includes at least one mucus storage cavity, the second channel section is in communication with the intake tube and the outlet tube of the air pump. The first channel section has a maximized path length, and includes an anti-backflow channel structure. The second channel section includes a noise reduction space.
VACUUM DRAINAGE MANIFOLD SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
Devices, systems, kits, and methods used to collect drainage fluid from a patient are disclosed. The systems or kits include a multi-port manifold, and one or more drainage tubes to fluidly connect vacuum drainage bottles with the multi-port manifold. One or more vacuum drainage bottles can also be included in the kit as desired. The method of drainage fluid collection can include filling two vacuum drainage bottles simultaneously with drainage fluid, then filling a third vacuum drainage bottle with drainage fluid, and then filling a fourth vacuum drainage bottle with drainage fluid.
DRAIN TRAY ASSEMBLY, SYSTEM AND METHOD
A surgical drain tray assembly includes a fluid impermeable first layer and a porous second layer positioned on the fluid impermeable first layer. The fluid impermeable first layer includes a drain outlet, a basin, and a sloping surface angled toward the basin, the drain outlet being positioned within the basin. The porous second layer may be formed of a foam material and includes a top work surface. Fluids spilled onto the work surface pass through the porous second layer to the fluid impermeable first layer. The sloping surface of the fluid impermeable first layer conveys the fluids toward the basin for draining through the drainage outlet.
Drainage System With O-Ring
A drainage system, the drainage system comprising a container having an interior and a mouth, the mouth comprising an outer surface and an opening, a frangible seal covering the opening, a cap secured to the mouth and in fluid communication with a drainage line, the cap having an inner surface configured to engage with the outer surface of the mouth, an O-ring located at least partially between the outer surface of the mouth and the inner surface of the cap and configured to form a fluid seal between a space defined by the cap and the space located externally of the drainage system, and a retaining ring circumferentially engaging the cap.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOVAL OF BLOOD AND THROMBOTIC MATERIAL
A method for improving a flow condition through a catheter includes coupling a distal end of a first conduit of a tubing set to an aspiration lumen of an aspiration catheter, coupling a proximal end of the first conduit to a vacuum source, coupling a distal end of a second conduit of the tubing set to a supply lumen of the aspiration catheter, coupling a proximal end of the second conduit to a first fluid source, inserting a distal end of a sheath within the vasculature of a subject, placing the aspiration catheter through the sheath and advancing the aspiration catheter such that an open distal end of the aspiration lumen of the aspiration catheter is distal to a distal end of the sheath and is in proximity to a thrombus within a blood vessel of a subject, coupling an extension conduit in fluid communication with a lumen of the sheath to a second fluid source, and activating a pump such that pressurized fluid from the first fluid source is applied to the supply lumen of the aspiration catheter, wherein when insufficient flowable material is present adjacent the open distal end of the aspiration lumen, fluid from the second fluid source is caused to flow through the lumen of the sheath.
THERAPY APPARATUS WITH INTEGRATED FLUID CONDUCTORS AND NOISE ATTENUATION
In one example embodiment, an apparatus may include a panel with integrated fluid channels, wherein the panel and the fluid channel consist only of surfaces that can be manufactured with a straight-pull mold. A port may also be integrated into the panel to facilitate coupling the fluid channel to pneumatic components in an assembly. A seal may be secured to the panel over the fluid channel to form an integrated fluid conductor. The seal is preferably an adhesive label that can also be used for product labeling. Such an apparatus may be used in a control unit of a therapy system, employing several integrated fluid conductors. A method of manufacturing may include molding a panel, wherein the mold forms a channel integral to the panel. The panel and the channel preferably consist of surfaces that can be molded with a straight-pull mold.
Drainage system with O-ring
A drainage system according to certain aspects of the present disclosure may include a container having an interior and a mouth, where the mouth has an outer surface and an opening. The drainage system may further include a frangible seal covering the opening and a cap, where the cap is secured to the mouth and is in fluid communication with a drainage line, and where the cap has an inner surface configured to engage with the outer surface of the mouth. An O-ring may be located at least partially between the outer surface of the mouth and the inner surface of the cap to form a fluid seal between a space defined by the cap and the space located externally of the drainage system.
Apparatuses and methods for negative pressure wound therapy
Disclosed herein are several embodiments of a negative pressure appliance and methods of using the same in the treatment of wounds. Some embodiments are directed towards wound dressings comprising a liquid and gas permeable transmission layer, an absorbent layer for absorbing wound exudate, the absorbent layer overlying the transmission layer, a gas impermeable cover layer overlying the absorbent layer and comprising a first orifice, wherein the cover layer is moisture vapor permeable. Some embodiments are directed to improved fluidic connectors or suction adapters for connecting to a wound site, for example using softer, kink-free conformable suction adapters.
