The body portion includes a plurality of corner columns spaced from each other, a first horizontal member, and a second horizontal member. At least one of the first and second horizontal members is adjacent the at least one of the top portion or the bottom portion and opposite the other horizontal member. The first horizontal member extends between at least two corner columns and has at least a portion curved inward towards the internal region. The second horizontal member extends between at least two corner columns and has at least a portion curved inward towards the internal region. The first and second horizontal members are integrally formed with the body portion.
CO2-LADEN CONCRETE PRECAST PRODUCTS AND THE METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a process for producing precast products in an airtight enclosure, which comprises the steps of a carbonation of pre-dried concrete precast units by feeding CO.sub.2 gas into a closed airtight enclosure under near ambient atmospheric pressure (psig between 0 and 2) and/or low pressure (between 2 and 15 psig) conditions, wherein said pre-dried concrete units have lost between 25 to 60% of their initial mix water content.
AERATED COMPOSITE MATERIALS, METHODS OF PRODUCTION AND USES THEREOF
The invention provides novel aerated composite materials that possess excellent physical and performance characteristics of aerated concretes, and methods of production and uses thereof. These composite materials can be readily produced from widely available, low cost raw materials by a process suitable for large-scale production with improved energy consumption, desirable carbon footprint and minimal environmental impact.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR CURING CONCRETE
An apparatus for curing concrete includes a multiple layer polyolefin film and an absorbent layer. The polyolefin film layer can include pH modifying components and antiskid components. The absorbent layer can also include pH modifying components. The absorbent layer can include nonwoven fabric. The apparatus can be applied to curing concrete after hydration water is applied to the curing concrete. The apparatus can also be used to enclose poured concrete members during transport of the members so as to continue the curing process during transport. The film can also be used as a barrier layer between the ground and poured concrete.
Arrangement and method for curing concrete products
An arrangement for curing concrete products, which contains a curing chamber having several curing cells arranged in at least one column, in which curing cells are located on a vertical stack. The curing cells are formed to curing cell groups, in which one curing cell group contains at least one curing cell, advantageously 2-4 curing cells, and wherein the curing cell group is insulated in respect of other curing cell groups of the curing chamber. A method for curing concrete products in a curing chamber, which includes several curing cells arranged in at least one column, in which the curing cells are located on a vertical stack. In the method the moisture level of curing cells is controlled such that in the curing cells the temperature is desired.
Insulated flying table concrete form, electrically heated flying table concrete form and method of accelerating concrete curing using same
The invention comprises a flying table concrete form. The flying table concrete form comprises a concrete forming deck comprising a first concrete forming panel having a first primary surface adapted for forming and contacting plastic concrete and a second primary surface opposite the first primary surface, a layer of insulating material contacting and substantially covering the second primary surface of the first concrete forming panel, and a second panel contacting and substantially covering the layer of insulating material. The flying table concrete form also comprises a plurality of deck support members extending transversely with respect to the second panel, wherein the first concrete forming panel defines a plane and wherein no portion of the deck support members are in the plane defined by the first concrete forming panel. A method of using the flying table concrete form is also disclosed.
METHOD OF PREPARATION OF A CONSTRUCTION ELEMENT BY CARBONATION OF CEMENT
A method of preparation of a construction element by carbonation, includes a) preparing a composition containing a cement, water and chemical additives; b) pre-drying the composition; then c) placing the pre-dried composition in a chamber of an incubator, the chamber containing at least one inlet and one outlet, the pre-dried composition being carbonated, in a carbonation procedure, by feeding into the chamber, through the inlet, a flow of CO.sub.2 containing gas, variations of the CO.sub.2 concentration in the chamber being kept below 10% of a reference value during the whole carbonation procedure, during the carbonation procedure, the pressure within the chamber being atmospheric pressure, the relative humidity within the chamber being above 80? % and the temperature within the chamber ranging from 20? C. to 80? C. The chemical additives in the composition include more than 0.05% in weight, compared to the total weight of the cement, of a cement hydration retarder.
CURING SYSTEMS FOR MATERIALS THAT CONSUME CARBON DIOXIDE AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
The invention provides a curing system that is useful for curing materials that consume carbon dioxide as a reagent. The system has a curing chamber that contains the material to be cured and a gas that contains carbon dioxide. The system includes apparatus that can deliver carbon dioxide to displace ambient air upon loading the system, that can provide carbon dioxide as it is needed and as it is consumed, that can control carbon dioxide concentration, temperature and humidity in the curing chamber during the curing cycle and that can record and display to a user the variables that occur during the curing process. A method of curing a material which requires CO.sub.2 as a curing reagent is also described.
Method for producing a component from curable material and corresponding component
A process for producing a component from a curable material, a new layer of the material being printed in periodically recurring steps in a 3D printing process onto a layer located thereunder so as to have lower reinforcing elements which protrude above the top of this new layer, and also relates to a component produced by a corresponding process. Known processes and components do not allow reinforcement over a large surface area. The object of designing a process in such a way that the reinforcement thereof withstands high loads is achieved by providing that, after each layer has been printed, upper reinforcing elements are connected to the lower reinforcing elements so as to extend said lower reinforcing elements and so as to form the lower reinforcing elements of the subsequent layer.
