A body fluid movement system includes a body fluid movement apparatus with a lumen, a proximal end, a distal end and a balloon coupled to the proximal end. The balloon is configured to be positioned in an interior of a bladder. The proximal end is configured to provide flow of body fluid from the bladder through the body fluid movement apparatus and collects body fluid from the bladder through the lumen. The drainage bag has an inlet port for receiving body fluid and an outlet port for draining body fluid urine from the drainage bag. The body fluid movement tube includes the proximal end, with a plurality of body fluid draining holes that receive body fluid urine from the bladder and allow it to be transported to and though the body fluid movement tube. One or more sensors are included in the body fluid movement apparatus and positioned to be in contact with patient's body fluid. A patient remote monitoring system is coupled to the one or more sensors to receive sensor data.

Collapsible mobile urine container

A collapsible mobile urine container includes a container body made of malleable polymeric material having a body wall comprised of a bag or a tube, and a support member being a wire coil. The container further includes a shell having a top, a bottom, and a hinge, and the shell is configured to enclose the container body. The container body is configured to be collapsible such that it is collapsed in a first state and extended in a second state. A method of using a collapsible mobile urine container includes providing a collapsible mobile urine container, opening the container shell, extending the container body to the second state, positioning the container body relative to a user to collect urine, and collecting urine during a urination event.

TRANSCUTANEOUS DEVICE FOR REMOVAL OF FLUID FROM A BODY

A single step body insertion device contains a Veress needle 10 which penetrates the skin surface and relevant tissue layers to reach fluid and/or gases that need to be removed from the body. The device comprises a cannula shaft 2 with a tapered distal tip 3 and a proximal hub 4 with a side port 7 housing a one way low pressure cracking valve 8. The cannula shaft is of a polymeric material which is flexible and kink resistant. The device is used for the management of conditions such as pneumothoraxes and pleural effusions as well as other conditions that require release of fluid and/or gas from the body.

FLUID COLLECTION

An apparatus and method for collecting fluid are disclosed. The apparatus includes a body portion comprising a fluid inlet and an outlet, an expandable container secured to the body portion, at least one wicking element extending from within the body portion into the container, and at least one super absorber element arranged inside the container.
