Vertical shaft high-shear mixer for de-agglomeration, and associated methods and systems
Disclosed is a deagglomeration apparatus, to improve the quality of a mixture used for the production of concrete blocks. An illustrative embodiment of the deagglomerator comprises a vertical shaft high-shear mixer, wherein a rotational force (hydraulic or electric) is mounted to a vertical shaft onto which are mounted chains and/or knives, housed within a flexible rubber boot or tube. The deagglomerator is configured to be controllably powered, to rotate the shaft and the attached tools. Partially mixed formula is introduced to a top region of the deagglomerator, and falls downwardly past the rotating tools wherein the formula is pulverized and mixed, before exiting the lower area of the mixing region.
DE-MOLDING SYSTEM OF CERAMIC PARTS MANUFACTURED BY FREEZE-CASTING, AND MOLD COOLING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CERAMIC PARTS BY FREEZING-CASTING
This invention provides a de-molding system of ceramic parts manufactured by freeze-casting comprising a mold (9), wherein the mold (9) comprises an upper opening (95) and a lower opening (94), wherein the upper opening (95) is adapted to receive a colloidal suspension (92), and one of the openings is adapted to allow the passage of a manufactured ceramic part (92), characterized by comprising at least one main de-molding element (80) adapted to actuate a ceramic part manufactured (92) through an opening in the mold (9).
In addition, the invention provides a mold cooling system for the manufacturing of ceramic parts by freeze-casting comprising: a source (1) of cooling gas; a cooling gas cooling medium (7) fluidically connected to the cooling gas source (1); and a cooling cell (5), fluidly connected to the cooling gas cooling medium (7), comprising a mold (9) in its interior, wherein the cooling cell (5) comprises a refrigerated cooling gas injection opening. Thus, a mold cooling system is provided for the manufacturing of ceramic parts by freeze-casting comprising the stages of: refrigerating a cooling gas coming from a cooling gas source (1); and injecting a cooling gas that is refrigerated in a cooling cell (5) comprising a mold (9) in its interior.
CONCRETE PRODUCT MACHINE MOLD ASSEMBLY STRIPPER HEAD SUPPORT
A device for supporting stripper head on a mold box of a concrete product machine mold assembly. The device includes a set of attachment hardware that connects a stand-off leg to a stripper head plate to support the stripper head with the stripper head plungers disposed in respective protected positions within respective plunger receptacles of the mold box. The hardware set comprises a ferrous metal portion configured to be carried by the stripper head plate and a magnetic portion carried by the stand-off leg in a position to magnetically engage the ferrous metal portion and allow for removable attachment of the stand-off leg to the stripper head plate when the ferrous metal portion is carried by the stripper head plate.

Method and system for cracking a flexible mold of dried wet-cast concrete products
The problem of wet-cast concrete products getting stuck in a flexible mold during demolding is solved, prior to demolding the wet-cast concrete products, by removing a vacuum on the flexible mold by moving at least one side edge of the flexible mold away from a part of the flexible mold that is adjacent to the at least one side edge in a direction opposite the open side of the flexible mold.
DEVICE FOR FORMING A TEMPORARY SEAL FOR FLOOD PROTECTION
One illustrative device disclosed herein includes a package and a plurality of individual sections of a moldable material positioned within the package, wherein the plurality of individual sections of the moldable material are adapted to be deformed into a substantially contiguous seal between a first structure and a second structure and wherein the number of the individual sections of the moldable material within the package is selected so as to provide the necessary quantity of the plurality of individual sections of the moldable material so as to form the substantially contiguous seal.
