Thermal break for use in construction
The present disclosure relates to an exterior wall for tilt-up construction comprising: (a) a fascia wythe; (b) a structural wythe; (c) a layer of insulating material disposed between the fascia wythe and the structural wythe; and (d) a thermal break in contact with at least the structural wythe, the thermal break comprising an elongate body comprising one or more thermal insulating materials, a first surface suitable for mounting a fixture, a second surface opposite the first surface, a first contacting surface, and a second contacting surface opposite the first contacting surface, the first contacting surface and the second contacting surface extending between the first surface and the second surface. The elongate body is substantially made of a non-wood material, and the structural wythe contacts at least a portion of the second contacting surface. The present disclosure further relates to methods of constructing an exterior wall comprising a thermal break.

Reinforced recycled lump/aggregate concrete precast column and construction method thereof
A reinforced recycled block/aggregate concrete precast column and a construction method are provided. The reinforced recycled block/aggregate concrete precast column includes several first one-bar hoops, vertical reinforcement bars, several second one-bar hoops, a flexible hinge area, and recycled block/aggregate concrete; the first one-bar hoops and second one-bar hoops are each provided with an anchor end; the first one-bar hoops and second one-bar hoops are disposed in the flexible hinge area, and only the second one-bar hoops are disposed outside the flexible hinge area; the outer edge of each first one-bar hoop is flush with the outer surface of the reinforced recycled block/aggregate concrete precast column; and the interior of the reinforced recycled block/aggregate concrete precast column is filled with the recycled block/aggregate concrete, thereby greatly increasing the recycling rate of engineering waste, reducing shedding of a concrete protective layer in the flexible hinge area of the column.

Precast column and method of manufacturing the same
The present disclosure provides a precast column and a method for manufacturing the same, in which the precast column includes a base, a main structure, multiple main reinforcing bars and a concrete structure. The base includes multiple couplers disposed on a bottom mold and multiple stirrups surrounding the multiple couplers. One side of the main structure is connected to the base, and the main structure includes a hollow tube disposed inside the main structure. The multiple main reinforcing bars pass through the main structure, one end of each of which is connected to the corresponding one of the multiple couplers. The concrete structure covers the base, the main structure and the multiple main reinforcing bars.
