SYSTEM FOR TREATING EMBOLISM AND ASSOCIATED DEVICES AND METHODS
Systems and methods for the intravascular treatment of clot material within a blood vessel of a human patient are disclosed herein. A method in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, positioning a distal portion of a catheter proximate to the clot material within the blood vessel. The method can further include coupling a pressure source to the catheter via a tubing subsystem including a valve or other fluid control device and, while the valve is closed, activating the pressure source to charge a vacuum. The valve can then be opened to apply the vacuum to the catheter to thereby aspirate at least a portion of the clot material from the blood vessel and into the catheter.
Extensible Conduit For The Communication Of Negative Pressure And Fluids
A conduit includes a first end configured to be fluidly coupled to a wound site, and a second end configured to be fluidly coupled to a canister. The conduit additionally includes a central lumen extending between the first end and the second end. The conduit further includes a male interlocking member on a first side of the conduit and a female interlocking member on a second side of the conduit. Both the first side and the second side extend along a length of the conduit between the first end and the second end. The female interlocking member is configured to receive the male interlocking member.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGEMENT OF THROMBOSIS
An aspiration system includes an aspiration catheter including a tubular aspiration member having a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen, and configured to at least partially extend out of the lumen of an elongate tubular member and into the vasculature of a subject, an elongate support member coupled to the tubular aspiration member and extending between the proximal end of the aspiration catheter and the proximal end of the tubular aspiration member, a high pressure injection lumen extending within the elongate support member and having a distal end including a curved portion configured to change a direction of fluid flow by at least about 90°, at least one orifice located at the distal end of the high pressure injection lumen configured to allow liquid to be released into the lumen of the tubular aspiration member, and an annular seal carried by the tubular aspiration member and configured to create a liquid seal against the inner surface of the elongate tubular member.
UTERINE HEMORRHAGE CONTROLLING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An insertable device is designed to control uterine hemorrhaging after birth by facilitating contractile movement of the uterus. An insertable device comprises a tube having a connecting portion and a suction portion and a seal positioned along the length of the connecting portion proximal to the suction portion. Upon insertion of the suction portion and seal into the uterus, the seal abuts a vaginal canal and forms a seal between a vaginal opening and the uterus. The suction portion comprises a first loop having an opening that is oriented away from an interior wall of the uterus when inserted into the uterus. The connecting portion of the tube couples to a pump that when actuated generates a negative pressure within the uterus, resulting in a uniform mechanical stimulus to the uterine wall in order to facilitate tamponade and contractile movement of the tissue.
Segmented Drainage Tubes
Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to systems and methods of drainage tubes displaying differing mechanical properties along an axial length. These drainage tubes can be provided as integrally formed tubes or as modular systems and can be provided as part of a kit. The differing mechanical properties allows a user to position the tube and to prevent the formation of dependent loops, which allow fluid to pool therein. Proximal portions of the tube can display rigid or malleable properties to maintain a negative incline, or be positioned and remain in position until repositioned. Modular tube kits allow a user to select different mechanical properties along an axial length and modify an overall length of the tube to suit the user's needs.
A Modular Catheter System
A modular tunneled catheter is provided that allows lumen length and cuff positioning to be adjusted based on the size of a patient. This catheter should be useful for any patient who would benefit from customized fitting of a catheter to their measurements. Methods of using the modular catheter for hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and fluid drainage, including drainage of plural effusions from the lungs or malignant ascites from the abdomen are also described.
Airborne pathogen extraction system
An airborne pathogen extraction system that provides for continuous airborne pathogen particle extraction from a specifically targeted area in a room or a specifically targeted area proximate to a user. The pathogenic particles are filtered and/or disinfected before the air is returned proximate to the originating location, or are directed an area away from the user(s). The airborne pathogen extraction systems and methods lower the chances of contagion or infection from airborne pathogens, such as viruses.
SYSTEMS, METHODS AND HANDHELD PULSATILE ASPIRATION AND INJECTION DEVICES
Systems, devices and methods for use in liposuction and infusion medical procedures including handheld devices, micro-cannulas, curved cannulas vacuum pressure changing features.
CATHETER FOR CHEST DRAINAGE AND CHEST DRAINAGE SYSTEM
To reduce the suffering of the patient and enable easier removal of excess fluid such as pleural effusion fluid from the chest space, the disclosure provides a catheter for chest drainage intended for removal of excess fluid from a chest space of a living body and to be placed in the living body in such a manner as to extend from an inside of the chest space to an outside of the living body. The catheter includes a passage member formed of a flexible sheet and having a passage through which the excess fluid is to be drained, and an indwelling member formed of an elastic body and provided at a proximal end of the passage member. The indwelling member has an inlet that allows the excess fluid to flow through. The indwelling member includes a retaining portion spreading in a flange shape and being retainable at a chest wall.
Suction devices for medical devices and medical device systems including suction devices
A suction device for use with a medical device may include a suction device body and an extension. The suction device body may include a first lumen positioned therein and including a plurality of holes. The extension may include a second lumen positioned therein and may be coupled to the suction device body and configured to facilitate connection of the suction device body to a suction line. The second lumen may be in communication with/open to the first lumen and the suction line may be adapted for connection to a pump configured to apply a negative pressure to the first and second lumens. The suction device may evacuate fluids and/or solids from a patient in an area proximate to the suction device.
