The connector may include a body with a first cavity on one side, a second cavity on another side, and an interior wall located between the first cavity and the second cavity. The interior wall may form a projection in the second cavity. The projection may include an outer surface and a ledge adjacent the outer surface. The projection may cooperate with the multi lumen tubing to form a liquid-gas separator. The ledge may include a bore extending between the first cavity and the second cavity. The bore may house a gas permeable and a liquid impermeable barrier.

A portable pump is provided for negative pressure wound therapy for drawing a vacuum from a wound site via a tube. The pump includes an inlet configured to attach the tube from the wound site; a canister in fluid communication with the inlet for collecting fluids drained from the wound site; and a manually-actuated pump mechanism for creating the vacuum. The pump mechanism includes a vacuum chamber in fluid communication with the canister; a piston disposed in the vacuum chamber; and a pump handle coupled to the piston to move the piston in the vacuum chamber between first and second positions to create the vacuum. The pump handle moving between a retracted position and an extended position. The piston is in the first position when said pump handle is in the retracted position and is in the second position when said pump handle is in the extended position.

A device for preparing adipose tissue for transplantation, from lobular fat extracted, for instance, by liposuction. The device comprises at least one washing and separating container (1) having a washing chamber (11) for washing the liposuctioned material, which washing and separating container (1) has at least one inlet (12) and at least one outlet (13) for the liposuctioned material to enter the washing chamber (11) through the inlet (12) and for at least part of said material, the fluid component, to exit said chamber 11 through the outlet 13. The washing and separating container (1) is coupled to stirring means via coupling means (2) for releasably coupling said washing and separating container (1) to said stirring means, drive means being provided for driving said stirring means. The stirring means comprising a stirring member (31) supported by a support structure (32), said washing and separating container (1) being releasably coupled to said stirring member (31) via said coupling means, and said stirring member (31) being driven by said drive means, emulsion generating means (14) being provided in said washing chamber (11), for generating an emulsion of the fluid components by mechanical stirring.

Systems and methods for a cartridge which may be included in a medical suction device are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a cartridge may comprise a porous filler material loaded with absorption granules for absorbing liquids, and a hydrophobic liquid barrier which is permeable only to one or more of air and gasses, and positioned within the cartridge so that liquids in the cartridge cannot exit the cartridge. The cartridge may further comprise perforated walls and sealed walls, arranged within the cartridge in an alternating order and orientated parallel to one another and perpendicular to a net flow direction of fluids in the cartridge, and spaced from one another such that passages are formed between the walls.

Disclosed is a canister for a mobile negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) device, specifically adapted for ensuring prolonged uninterrupted use of the NPWT device. The canister has an inlet port and a filter member. The canister also includes a bypass member adapted to at least partly allow passage of air from the inlet port to the filter member. Also disclosed is a corresponding NPWT device that includes the canister.
