Fluid collection apparatus
A fluid collection apparatus for use in negative pressure wound therapy. The fluid collection apparatus includes a flexible bag having a first opening and a second opening. The bag includes a structure defining a fluid pathway connecting the first opening and the second opening. The pathway is circulative and contributes to orientation independence of the bag in use. The bag further includes a load-bearing component.
SURGICAL CLEANING TOOL, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A surgical tool, systems, and method for cleaning an anatomical space is provided. At least one brush is disposed on a shaft extending through a tube. The tube includes a corresponding brush slot for each brush. A motor is operable to rotate the shaft to cause the at least one brush to move from a closed position to a cleaning position. The at least one brush is positioned entirely inside of the tube when in the closed position and at least partially outside of the tube when in the cleaning position. A fluid source is operable to supply fluid to the at least one brush as the at least one brush passes through the brush slot.
MEDICAL DRAINAGE MONITORING METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM BASED ON IMAGE RECOGNITION
Disclosed are a medical drainage monitoring method, apparatus, system based on image recognition. A medical drainage monitoring system comprises: a drainage device comprising a frame and a drainage container disposed in the frame, the drainage container having an inlet for receiving drained liquid; a first video acquisition device mounted on the frame aimed at the drainage container for obtaining video data of the drained liquid in the drainage container; an image processing circuit, configured to receive and process the video data from the first video acquisition device to obtain first drainage data of the drained liquid; and a monitoring circuit configured to monitor the first drainage data and trigger an alarm signal when the first drainage data violates a predetermined threshold.
Fluid collection
An apparatus and method for collecting fluid are disclosed. The apparatus includes a body portion comprising a fluid inlet and an outlet, an expandable container secured to the body portion, at least one wicking element extending from within the body portion into the container, and at least one super absorber element arranged inside the container.
SYSTEMS, CATHETERS, AND METHODS FOR TREATING ALONG THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM
Systems, catheters, and methods for accessing and treating along the central nervous system are disclosed including sampling systems. An example sampling system may include a filter cassette designed to filter cerebrospinal fluid. The filter cassette may have an inlet region configured to be coupled to a catheter and configured to receive cerebrospinal fluid, one or more filters, and an outlet region configured to be coupled to an outlet of the catheter and to direct filtered cerebrospinal fluid to the catheter. A sampling port may be in fluid communication with the filter cassette. The sampling port may have a first end region configured to receive cerebrospinal fluid, a stopcock, a syringe port, and a second end region. The stopcock may be configured to shift between a first position where cerebrospinal fluid is directed from the first end region to the second end region and a second position where cerebrospinal fluid is directed from the first end region to the syringe port.
Method for the collection and use of amniotic fluid
Disclosed is a method for the collection, processing and reuse of amniotic fluid at a C-section site. The method is conducted coincident with and in the operating room wherein the caesarian section is performed. In the method, amniotic fluid is suctioned from the caesarian section collection site using a vacuum line system which includes a canister positioned along the vacuum line. The canister has a port whereby the amniotic fluid can be removed from the canister. The amniotic fluid can be then be mixed with a coagulant or sealant and applied to the wound site of the cesarean section patient. Placental aspirate may also be collected, processed and used in accordance with the method of the present invention.
ION EXCHANGE ENHANCED ABSORBENT SYSTEMS
A system, method, and apparatus for treating a tissue site with reduced pressure includes a dressing adapted to be positioned proximate the tissue site. An absorbent may be adapted to be fluidly coupled to the manifold, and an ion exchange member may be adapted to be fluidly coupled between the manifold and the absorbent. A sealing member may be adapted to cover the tissue site to form a sealed space having the manifold disposed therein. A reduced-pressure source may be adapted to be fluidly coupled to the manifold.
SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING CONTINUAL DRAINAGE IN NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY
A system for subatmospheric pressure therapy in connection with healing a wound is provided. The system includes a wound dressing cover dimensioned for positioning relative to a wound bed of a subject to establish a reservoir over the wound bed in which subatmospheric pressure may be maintained, a subatmospheric pressure mechanism including, a housing, a vacuum source disposed in the housing, and a collection canister in fluid communication with the vacuum source. The system further includes an exudate conduit in fluid communication with the wound dressing and the collection canister for collecting exudate removed from the reservoir and deposited in the collection canister under influence of the vacuum source and a vent conduit in fluid communication with the collection canister and the wound dressing for introducing air into the reservoir to facilitate flow of exudate through the exudate conduit.
LIQUID-GAS SEPARATOR
A method and system for separating a flow of matter is shown and described. The system includes one or more flow separation devices, one or more surgical instruments, and one or more suction sources. In some embodiments, the flow of matter comprises biological material. In some embodiments, the flow of matter comprises surgical waste.
ISOLATION DEVICE FOR ADIPOSE-DERIVED STROMAL VASCULAR FRACTION
An isolation device for adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction is provided. More particularly the embodiments relates to novel systems, devices, methods and kits for adipose tissue collection and stromal vascular fractions isolation from collected adipose. The devices and systems are used in the field of healthcare/regenerative medicine.
