A medicant injection device includes a compressible body, a tip, and an outer luer body. The compressible body has a proximal end, a distal end, and a plurality of bellows, and defines an inner cavity for holding a liquid medicant. The tip is positioned at the proximal end of the compressible body. The outer luer body includes internal threads, and is positioned over and engaged with the tip to form a first fitting therewith. The first fitting is configured to be connected with a second fitting. A medicant injection device includes a compressible body having first and second arms, a receptacle interconnected with the compressible body and defining an inner cavity, and a first fitting configured to engage a second fitting. The compressible body is configured to be compressed by forcing the distal end of the first and second arm toward each other.

PREFILLED CONTAINER SYSTEMS

A syringe assembly may include a plunger having a stopper. A barrel may be configured to receive the plunger at an open first end. A tip cap may be removably attached to the second end and may form a chamber within the barrel between the plunger and tip cap. The chamber may be configured to contain a sterilization sensitive material. The barrel may be formed of a plastic material having a high barrier property configured to create a barrier between the sterilization sensitive material and gases produced for sterilization purposes such that the sterilization sensitive material remains unchanged during a sterilization procedure.

System for Integrating an Antibacterial-Element Receptacle into a Multi-Function Cap
20200376188 · 2020-12-03 ·

A system for integrating an antibacterial-element receptacle into a multi-function cap facilitates the pre-injection treatment, the post-injection treatment, and prevents the accidental delivery of the injection. The system includes a multi-function cap assembly, an autoinjector body, and an antiseptic-soaked dressing. The multi-function cap assembly encloses the needle of the autoinjector and prevents the accidental trigger of the injection mechanism. The autoinjector body refers to the body of any conventional autoinjector. The antiseptic-soaked dressing is applied to the patient's skin prior to the delivery of the injection to disinfect and sterilize the injection area. The antiseptic-soaked dressing is housed in the multi-function cap assembly, between a receptacle and a removable cover. The removable cover is releasably mounted to the receptacle to allow access to the antiseptic-soaked dressing. The apparatus further includes an expiration timer and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism, with the timer, secures multi-function cap assembly with the body.

Needleless connector and access port disinfection cleaner and antimicrobial protection cap

A protective cap having a first cap and a second cap that are removably coupled together for use in short-term and long-term antimicrobial treatment of needleless connectors and access ports of an infusion system. The instant invention further provides a protective cap having a first cap and a second cap that each coupled to a different surface of a component of an infusion system, such as a syringe. The instant invention further provides a strip containing a plurality of disposable protective caps.

An Injection Device With Needle Cleaning
20200360595 · 2020-11-19 ·

The invention relates to a medical injection device having a needle cannula for multiple use and which needle cannula is cleaned between subsequent injections. The needle cannula is preferably cleaned at the distal tip in a cleaning assembly having a hollow cleaning chamber with a variable volume. The distal tip of the needle cannula is maintained inside the cleaning chamber between subsequent injections. The cleaning chamber is defined by an inner surface, a distal seal and a proximal seal. In order to increase the volume of the cleaning chamber during filling of the cleaning chamber one of the seals is formed as a movable plunger which is movable in one direction to expand the volume of the cleaning chamber. To release the movable plunger from the inner surface of the hollow cleaning chamber in order to commence the filling of the cleaning chamber, the movable plunger and the inner wall surface of the hollow cleaning chamber are rotatable in relation to each other during filling of the cleaning chamber.

Apparatus and methods for reuse of injection needle for home users
10828416 · 2020-11-10 ·

A device for an injection needle that enables reuse of a single-use injection needle for multiple injection uses for a same user is described. The device has a needle cover with a disinfecting agent, a sanitizing agent and a lubricating agent that are positioned inside the needle cover. The needle cover sanitizes, disinfects and lubricates a single-use injection needle for reuse when the needle is moved inside the needle cover and positioned therein for temporary storage. The agents are held in a medium that enable the agents to be positioned inside the needle cover. The agents in the medium are stacked on top of each other in heights for different needle lengths. The first stack is a wick medium that absorbs excess fluid droplets from a needle head, the second stack is a medium that disinfects the needle, and the third stack is a medium that lubricates the needle.

Shielded needle cannula

The invention relates to an injection system or a needle assembly in which a needle cannula secured to an injection device is shielded by a axially movable needle shield. Should the needle cannula be exposed to a force above a predetermined value e.g. if a user drops the injection device onto a hard surface, a locking mechanism will automatically lock and block further movement of the axially movable needle shield and thus render the injection device unusable.
