Method and device for cutting custom-sized tiles
A device for use in creating custom tiles for installation adjacent an angled vertical surface is disclosed. An example device includes first and second elongated members coupled via a hinge configured to selectively prevent pivoting at the hinge. The device further includes a slide piece coupled to the first member and configured to slide lengthwise along the first member. The slide piece may be selectively operated to prevent movement along the first member. The slide piece may further include a body. The body may comprise a longitudinal alignment element and a perpendicular lateral alignment element that together define a recess configured to receive a corner of an installed tile. The body may further include a spacer configured to selectively extend from or retract into the body. The spacer and the lateral alignment element may define a space therebetween.
GLASS LAMINATE ARTICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A glass laminate article includes an adhesive film attached to a base material, and a glass substrate layer attached to the adhesive film, wherein the glass substrate layer has a side surface that is inclined with respect to an upper surface thereof by an obtuse angle. According to the glass laminate article and a method of manufacturing the glass laminate article, the glass laminate article has an excellent appearance and safety and may be easily manufactured at a low cost.
GUIDING DEVICE FOR LARGE-FORMAT MANUAL CUTTERS
The present invention relates to a guiding device for large-format manual cutters, said device consisting of a guide (1) that comprises: on its top surface (11) an intermediate recessed portion (111) delimited by a base (112) and by longitudinal rails (113a, 113b) for movement of a manual cutter (3); and, on opposite sides of its bottom surface, first support means (121, 122) for supporting the guide (1) on the part (P) to be cut and a longitudinal recess (123) for receiving lever suction cups (2) which form second means for supporting and securing the guide (1) on the part (P) to be cut. The longitudinal rails (113a, 113b) are arranged between the first and the second support means; and the first support means (121, 122) are arranged between the cutting tool (31) and the suction cups (2) which form the second support means.
Manual cutting machine
A manual cutting machine includes a base plate. A front support and a rear support are fixedly arranged at two ends of the base plate. Sliding rods are mounted between the front support and the rear support. A slider is disposed around the sliding rods. A connecting block is hinged to the slider. A blade and a presser foot are connected to the bottom of the connecting rod. A push rod is connected to the top of the connecting block. The tail of the push rod is angled relative to the push rod. When the manual cutting machine is used for cutting and fracturing a board, motions of arms are reduced, and the motion range of an operator is narrowed, so that the operator can use the machine more easily and effortlessly. Meanwhile, oil can be added into an oil can to lubricate the slider in the using process.
METHODS OF SEPARATING A GLASS WEB
Methods of separating a glass web that is moving at a glass web velocity. The method includes exposing a separation path on the glass web to at least one laser beam spot that moves with a laser beam spot velocity vector that is equal to a glass web velocity vector in a conveyance direction. The method also includes creating a defect on the separation path while the separation path is under thermal stress from the laser beam spot, whereupon the glass web spontaneously separates along the separation path in response to the defect. In further examples, a glass web separation apparatus includes a first reflector that rotates such that a laser beam spot repeatedly passes along a separation path and a second reflector that rotates such that the laser beam spot moves in a conveyance direction of the glass web.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR CUTTING
Cutting apparatuses and methods of use thereof are discussed. For example, the cutting apparatus may include a chassis with one or more substrate interfaces and a scribe guide. The cutting apparatuses also may include a plurality of support pistons, a deformable support, a locking mechanism, and/or an anchor extension. The support pistons may be adjustable to generally conform to a substrate, such as a non-planar substrate.
Base for manual ceramic cutters
A base for manual ceramic cutters, which is provided with a support surface for the ceramic parts to be cut, the base including a rigid profile in the central longitudinal area, which rigid profile is secured to the supports of longitudinal displacement guides for a tool-holder head; and two lateral platforms mounted on the rigid profile by longitudinal shafts, which lateral platforms can be lowered between a horizontal use position, in which they form a support surface for the ceramic parts to be cut, and an inoperative position, in which the base defines a smaller surface area.
Cutting system for slabs
A cutting system for slabs which includes a longitudinal guide having a pair of surfaces opposite to each other, the pair made up of a lower surface and an opposite upper surface, a suction cup coupled to the lower surface of the longitudinal guide suitable to selectively adhere to a slab and defining a contact surface of the longitudinal guide on the slab, the longitudinal guide further including a pair of rails parallel to each other coupled to the upper surface of the longitudinal guide and suitable for slidably coupling to a scoring slider. The rails are arranged on opposite sides with respect to a median plane of the suction cup perpendicular to the contact surface thereof.
