Infusion procedure for enhancing image quality

Disclosed are methods of radioisotope infusion comprising infusing saline comprising a diagnostic dose of a radioisotope, and delivering a pre-measured volume of push saline. The disclosed methods confer improved image quality with low background noise, higher signal to noise ratio (SNR) and higher contrast to noise ratio (CNR), leading to better diagnosis and thus eliminating the need of repeating the infusion and imaging which in turn reduces exposure of a patient to radiation.

FLUID PATHS FOR ANGIOGRAPHY INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

A fluid injector system includes at least one syringe configured for injecting medical fluid and a fluid path assembly in fluid communication with the at least one syringe, the fluid path assembly including at least one air detection region. The system includes an air detector configured to detect one or more air bubbles in a fluid path associated with the air detection region, at least one shutoff valve at a distal end of the fluid path assembly, and at least one processor programmed or configured to actuate the shutoff valve in response to the air detector detecting the one or more air bubbles in the fluid path associated with the air detection region to prevent fluid flow out of the fluid path assembly. The fluid path assembly has a length greater than a distance that an air bubble can travel or expand during an actuation time of the shutoff valve.

SEPARATING HASHING FROM PROOF-OF-WORK IN BLOCKCHAIN ENVIRONMENTS
20230147204 · 2023-05-11 · ·

Blockchain environments may mix-and-match different encryption, difficulty, and/or proof-of-work schemes when mining blockchain transactions. Each encryption, difficulty, and/or proof-of-work scheme may be separate, stand-alone programs, files, or third-party services. Blockchain miners may be agnostic to a particular coin's or network's encryption, difficulty, and/or proof-of-work schemes, thus allowing any blockchain miner to process or mine data in multiple blockchains. GPUs, ASICs, and other specialized processing hardware components may be deterred by forcing cache misses, cache latencies, and processor stalls. Hashing, difficulty, and/or proof-of-work schemes require less programming code, consume less storage space/usage in bytes, and execute faster. Blockchain mining schemes may further randomize byte or memory block access, further improve cryptographic security.

Syringe tip with fluid wicking drip flanges

Provided is a fluid wicking tip. The fluid wicking tip includes a plurality of drip flanges arranged to wick fluid between narrow spaces defined between any two drip flanges. The narrow spaces are dimensioned to facilitate wicking by capillary action. Also provided is a syringe that includes the fluid wicking tip. Also provided is a modular syringe system that includes a syringe and a sleeve configured to be slidably disposed over the syringe.

Calibration of radiation dose estimation in medical nuclear imaging

For calibration of internal dose in nuclear imaging, the dose model used for estimating internal dose in a patient is calibrated. One or more values of the dose model (e.g., a physics simulation, dose kernels, or a transport model) are set based on measured dose. The dose may be measured relative to specific tissues and/or isotopes, providing for tracer and tissue specific calibration. For example, dose from the tracer to be injected into the patient is estimated from emissions as well as measured by a dosimeter in a tissue mimicking tissue mimicking object. These doses are used to calibrate the dose model, which calibrated dose model is then used to determine internal dose for the patient.

Methods and devices for sonographic imaging
11648033 · 2023-05-16 · ·

The present invention comprises methods and devices for providing contrast medium for sonography of structures such as ducts and cavities. The invention provides for creation of detectable acoustic variations between two generated phases of a gas and a liquid to make a contrast medium. Sonography is the primary means of imaging but other conventional detection means may also be employed with the present invention.

RAPID FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM

A system includes a tubing set and a drive assembly. The tubing set includes inlet tubing couplable to a source of fluid, a valve coupled to the inlet tubing, a syringe coupled to the inlet tubing via the valve, and outlet tubing coupled to the valve. The valve is configured to allow fluid to be drawn from the source of fluid via the inlet tubing into a syringe body of the syringe and to be expelled from the syringe body and through the outlet tubing, and to prevent fluid from being drawn from the outlet tubing into the syringe body and to prevent fluid expelled from the syringe body from flowing through the inlet tubing. The drive assembly is configured to reversibly receive the tubing set such that a drive mechanism is engaged with a plunger of the syringe to reciprocally translate the plunger relative to the syringe body.
