A METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPOSITION OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL FOR 3D PRINTING
Systems, devices, and methods are provided for producing a 3d-printable composite material for large scale printing. A method can include receiving a first component comprising a (meth)acrylic monomer or a (meth)acrylic oligomer, or a combination thereof. The method can include receiving a second component comprising a photoinitiator and a third component comprising a polymerization enhancer. The method can include mixing the first component, second component, and third component with a mixing reactor to form a mixture. The method can include filtering the mixture with a filtration unit and removing a solid residue from the mixture. The method can include curing the filtered mixture with a radiation unit into a gel component and a liquid component. The method can include separating the gel component with a phase separation unit and then milling the gel component. And the method can include mixing the gel component, the photoinitiator, the mineral filler and optionally the recycled previously printed composite material to form the composite material.
DENTAL MATERIAL CONTAINING NANOSIZED FILLERS AND PREPARATION METHODS THEREOF
A filled self-cured dental material is described comprising inorganic boron nitride and/or zirconia particles in a solvent dispersion agent, the nanoparticles being entrained by an ultrasonic homogenizer technique to enhance both strength and stiffness of the dental material.
DISCONTINUOUS-FIBER COMPOSITES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
The invention relates to compositions comprising composite materials comprised of discontinuous fibers and one or more polymers and/or oligomers. The invention relates to methods of making the same. The composite materials can be in the form of compositions, composite sheets, laminates, pellets, and/or shaped composite products.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A DIENE ELASTOMER MODIFIED WITH A 1,3-DIPOLAR COMPOUND BY MEANS OF REACTIVE EXTRUSION
A process for the preparation of a diene elastomer modified by a 1,3-dipolar compound is provided. The process includes reactive extrusion of a mixture of a diene elastomer and of a 1,3-dipolar compound in a twin-screw extruder at an extrusion temperature of greater than 100° C. Such a process is reproducible and makes possible good control of the grafting reaction.
Polymer Powder and Article Made From the Same
A powder composition suitable for laser sintering for printing a three-dimensional object obtained by pre-heating a raw PEKK to evaporate a liquid solvent in the raw PEKK and the grinding the raw PEKK to form a PEKK powder, the powder composition having a first fraction comprising a polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) powder having a plurality of particles, the plurality of particles having a mean diameter D50 in the range of 30 μm to 150 μm. The plurality of particles of the first fraction are substantially non-spherical.
Silane-functionalized hydrocarbon polymer modifiers for elastomeric compositions
An elastomeric composition and method incorporating a hydrocarbon polymer modifier with improved permanence. The composition comprises elastomer, filler and silane-functionalized hydrocarbon polymer modifier (Si-HPM) made in a pre-reaction adapted to couple the Si-HPM to the elastomer, filler or both, wherein the Si-HPM comprises an interpolymer of monomers chosen from piperylenes, cyclic pentadienes, aromatics, limonenes, pinenes, amylenes, and combinations thereof.
