FILTERING DEVICE FOR HIGHLY VISCOUS MEDIA
A filtering device for highly viscous media, in which filtering device a rotatably mounted screening wheel which has a plurality of screening cavities is arranged between a front housing element and a rear housing element. According to the invention, a plurality of screening cavities lying beside one another, through which flow can pass jointly, are combined into at least one filter group. To this end, on both sides beside the filter group, a closed blocking segment is provided on the screening wheel which segment, when positioned in associated blocking regions of the housing, is sealed off with respect to the housing elements on both sides of the screening wheel. The blocking regions in the housing are in each case larger than or as large as a screening cavity together with a sealing web surrounding the same.
Filtering device and cleaning unit for removing dirt particles from a filter element of a filtering device
A filtering device for removing dirt particles and contaminants from a plastic melt is disclosed. The filtering device includes a housing having a filter chamber, an inlet for feeding plastic melt, an outlet for channeling plastic melt out, and a dirt outlet for discharging dirt particles from the housing. The filtering device also includes a filter element arranged in the filter chamber to retain any dirt particles contained in the stream of melt, and a cleaning unit for cleaning the filter element of dirt particles retained by means of the filter element. The cleaning unit having a cleaning head with a scraper member for detaching dirt particles from the filter element. The scraper member is coupled to a servomechanism to press the scraper member onto the surface of the filter element. The servomechanism has at least one bellows cylinder including a foot section, a head section, a deformable bellows element, and a pressure chamber of variable volume.
GEAR BOX WITH VARIABLY COUPLED OSCILLATION AND ROTATION FOR KNEADING MACHINE
A gear box for a reciprocating kneader. A primary rotational gear is attached to a gear box primary shaft and rotates in concert therewith. A secondary rotational gear is engaged with the primary rotation gear and rotates therewith. A secondary shaft is attached to the secondary rotational gear and rotates therewith. A primary oscillation gear is attached to the gear box primary shaft and rotates therewith. A secondary oscillation gear is rotationally engaged with the primary oscillation gear and rotates on the secondary shaft. An eccentric is coupled to the secondary oscillation gear and rotates in concert therewith. A yoke is engaged with the eccentric and oscillates on an axis perpendicular to the secondary shaft in response to the lobe. The gearbox secondary shaft moves along its axis in concert with yoke oscillation. A housing is pivotally attached to the yoke and pivotally attached to a casing at a casing.
POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE ALLOY HAVING TALC
A method of forming a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) mixture with talc includes: providing a feed of PET (PET feed); providing a feed of talc (talc feed); mixing the feed of PET with the feed of talc in a mixer at a PET:talc ratio of about 3:1 to about 1:3 to form a PET/talc mixture; and providing the PET/talc mixture as output. A method of forming a Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) alloy having talc includes: providing a feed of the PET/talc mixture (PET/talc feed); providing a feed of PET (PET feed); mixing the feed of PET with the feed of PET/talc in a mixer to form a PET alloy having from about 1% (w/w) talc to about 50% talc (w/w); and providing the PET alloy as output.
DIE PLATE COVER, DIE HEAD, EXTRUDER, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING RESIN PELLETS
A die plate cover 80 contains a vacuum layer as a heat insulating layer and is attached to a die plate 70 from which a molten resin is extruded. The die plate cover 80 attached to the die plate 70 covers a plurality of through holes 75a formed in a front surface 70f of the die plate 70 and bolts 76 inserted through the respective through holes 75a.
TWIN-SCREW EXTRUDER, GEAR BOX AND METHOD FOR EXTRUSION
A twin-screw extruder is provided in which screws have different rotational speeds depending on the process of treating the raw material and in which degradation of the raw material is less likely to occur.
Twin-screw extruder 1 has two screws 3, 5 that extend in parallel to each other. Each screw 3, 5 has cylindrical upstream screw 31 and downstream screw 35, wherein upstream screw 31 has shaft hole 315 that extends in longitudinal direction X and screw flight 316 on an outer circumferential surface thereof, and downstream screw 35 includes large diameter portion 353 having screw flight 357 on an outer circumferential surface thereof and small diameter shaft portion 351 that has a smaller diameter than large diameter portion 353, wherein small diameter shaft portion 351 of downstream screw 35 is inserted into shaft hole 315 of upstream screw 31. Upstream screw 31 and downstream screw 35 can be independently rotated. Twin-screw extruder 1 further includes upstream rotating mechanism 84 that rotates upstream screws 31 of two screws 3, 5, and downstream rotating mechanism 83 that rotates downstream screws 35 of two screws 3, 5.
Filter device and filter method
The invention relates to a filter device comprising an inlet chamber, an outlet chamber, a filter system which separates the inlet chamber and the outlet chamber. The filter device is characterised in that the inlet chamber comprises at least one liquid supply line and at least one liquid discharge line and the outlet chamber does not comprise a liquid supply and comprises at least one liquid discharge line. The invention also relates to a corresponding filter method.

An apparatus for filtering and degassing a plastic melt, in particular of a thermoplastic plastic melt, comprising a feeding extruder (11) which comprises at least one extrusion worm (13) which is rotatable in a housing, wherein the feeding extruder opens into the feeding region of one or several parallel melt filter modules (31) and a discharge extruder (21) with at least one extrusion worm (23) is situated in the discharge region of the melt filter(s), said discharge extruder being operated in the opposite direction of the feeding extruder in such a way that the worm tip (24) acts as the intake zone and the region near the drive acts as the discharge zone, wherein, for discharging the melt, a discharge aperture (27) in the housing is provided before the drive (22) of the discharge extruder, wherein the shaft of the extrusion worm of the discharge extruder is sealed against the drive of the discharge extruder with a sealing element (26) and wherein the feeding extruder opens into melt valves (25) and/or melt deflectors which are upstream of the melt filter, and, in the discharge region of the melt filter(s) and downstream of the melt filter, melt valves (25) and/or melt deflectors are provided, subsequent to which the discharge extruder is situated and the worm tips are mounted.
