Apparatus and method for manufacturing and testing workpieces
A method and an apparatus manufactures and tests workpieces. The apparatus is mountable on or includes a system for mixing or melting materials. The apparatus includes application units and a replacement system that is designed to automatically replace application units in respect of the position or function thereof.
Process and device for introducing additive materials in a receptacle at the area of highest pressure
A method and a device for introducing and/or adding non-dry-powder additive materials and/or coating materials with a liquid, solid, semi-solid, or paste-like consistency or in suspended or emulsified form, for example, peroxides, fats, waxes, IV improvers, polymers, or similar materials, to an existing lumpy or particulate material which is moved and mixed, and optionally warmed and reduced to small pieces in a receptacle and/or compressor, said material being in particular polymer particles and/or flakes, wood fibers, paper cuttings, or similar materials. According to the invention, the additive material is introduced below the level of the material and/or material particles already in the receptacle.
Roll Mill for Super Absorbent Polymer and Method for Preparing Super Absorbent Polymer Using the Same
A roll mill for super absorbent polymer that grinds introduced super absorbent polymer particles and discharges them. The roll mill for super absorbent polymer includes at least one pair of rollers that have plural corrugations formed on each outer perimeter surface of the roller, and are arranged parallel to each other while being spaced by a roll gap, and the number of corrugations per unit circumference of the roller may be 0.89/mm?1.15/mm. Also disclosed is a method for preparing super absorbent polymer using the roll mill.
Blade head for granulating strands of material and granulating apparatus having such a blade head and method for assembling such a blade head
A blade head for granulating strands of material comprises a blade carrier and at least one granulating blade fastened thereto. The respective granulating blade is fastened to a positioning component which bears against the blade carrier for the rough positioning of the granulating blade. For fine positioning purposes, at least one adjusting element bears against the respective granulating blade. The blade head permits simple, user-friendly and precise assembly and setting of the respective granulating blade.
ROTARY SCREEN FILTERING DEVICE FOR MEDIUM TO HIGH-VISCOSITY FLUIDS AND SEALING AND MOUNTING METHOD THEREFOR
On a rotary screen filtering device for medium to high-viscosity fluids, which comprises a rotary screen mounted for rotation in a housing, which screen has at least one screen element through which fluid can flow, the rotary screen, in the region of its sealing faces and the intermediate plates are fabricated or machined together so that they are of identical height. A gap width compensation layer is then inserted between the inlet plate and the intermediate plate and/or between the outlet plate and the intermediate plate. The package of plates is then pretensioned by means of screw bolts in such a manner that all the plates lie firmly against one another up to a maximum permissible operating pressure. Lubrication gaps of defined width are created between the sealing faces and the opposing inner faces of the inlet and outlet plates.
Process and system for controlling the addition of water during a mixing cycle for producing a rubber mixture
A process and a system are provided for controlling an addition of water to a rubber mixture during a mixing cycle in which the mixture is transported as a continuous sheet. The process includes obtaining data for the mixture, including a predetermined water flow rate, a predetermined air flow rate, and a target temperature and a target water content for the mixture; adding water to the continuous sheet during the mixing cycle; detecting an amount of water added at an elapsed time during the mixing cycle; determining, using a detection result, a predicted temperature and a predicted water content for the mixture at an end of the mixing cycle; comparing the target temperature with the predicted temperature, and the target water content with the predicted water content; and, before a next mixing cycle, adjusting an actual water flow rate when a comparison result indicates non-equivalence.
FILTRATION APPARATUSES AND SCREEN CHANGER DEVICES FOR POLYMER PROCESSING AND RELATED METHODS
Filtration apparatuses and screen changer devices for filtering polymeric material as well as spacer plates, and face plates for the screen changer devices and related methods are shown and described herein.
Extrusion pelletizer for polycarbonate resin and method for extrusion-pelletizing polycarbonate resin
An extrusion pelletizer for a polycarbonate resin includes: an extruder; a cooling unit; and a cutter. The extruder includes a cylinder top, a first adapter, a polymer filter unit, a second adapter, and a die head. The polymer filter unit includes a plurality of stick-shaped filter elements therein. A temperature of the second adapter is set to be lower than a temperature of the polymer filter unit. The cooling unit and the cutter are disposed under an atmosphere in which air cleanliness defined in accordance with JIS B 9920 is any one of class 1 to class 7.
Melt-guiding connection adapter
The present invention relates to a connection adapter for connecting two melt-guiding components having two adapter halves having connection means for connection to a respective one of the components and having connection means for connecting the two adapter halves to one another and having a melt-guiding piece that is adapted to a first of the melt-guiding components by a first opening cross-section and to the second of the melt-guiding components by a second opening cross-section. The invention furthermore relates to a melt processing plant having two melt-guiding components such as an extruder and a pelletizer that are connected to one another by such a connection adapter. In accordance with the invention, the melt-guiding piece is formed separately from the adapter halves and is tensionable against the melt-guiding components by the mutually connected adapter halves.
Filtering device for highly viscous media
A filtering device for highly viscous media, in which filtering device a rotatably mounted screening wheel which has a plurality of screening cavities is arranged between a front housing element and a rear housing element. According to the invention, a plurality of screening cavities lying beside one another, through which flow can pass jointly, are combined into at least one filter group. To this end, on both sides beside the filter group, a closed blocking segment is provided on the screening wheel which segment, when positioned in associated blocking regions of the housing, is sealed off with respect to the housing elements on both sides of the screening wheel. The blocking regions in the housing are in each case larger than or as large as a screening cavity together with a sealing web surrounding the same.
