Apparatus and method for producing and dispensing a reaction mixture
Apparatuses for producing and dispensing a reaction mixture include a mixing head for mixing the reaction components that are fed via two supply lines. The apparatuses also include a decompression system to relieve pressure from the supply lines to avoid the reaction components seeping into the mixing head. The decompression system includes two pressure vessels each with two sides, separated by a membrane. One of these sides forms an expansion chamber for the reaction component while the other side is connected to a pneumatic system. With this pneumatic system, the expansion chamber can be pressurized before the production of the reaction mixture is started. After the production of the reaction mixture, the pressure can be relieved.
Plural component spray gun system
A spray gun for a plural component system is provided. The spray gun includes a first component delivery line and a second component delivery line. The spray gun also includes a nozzle, configured to receive and mix a first component received from the first component delivery line with a second component received from the second component delivery line. The spray gun also includes an air purge system configured to, when the spray gun is in a non-actuated position, purge the nozzle of the first and second components and, when the spray gun is in an actuated position, aid in atomization of the mixture of the first and second components.
Foam-in-bag systems and components thereof
A system holds a roll of film that includes a core and film wound around the core. The system includes a rod having an outer diameter that is smaller than an inner diameter of the core, a proximal wing located on the rod and configured to rotate about the rod, and a distal wing located on the rod and configured to rotate about the rod. Each of the proximal and distal wings includes contact surfaces configured to contact diametrically-opposed locations on a side of an inner surface of the core and non-contact surfaces that span between the contact surfaces of the wing. The non-contact surfaces of the wings do not contact the core if the core has a cylindrical shape. The distal wing is capable of rotating around the rod independently of the proximal wing.
Apparatus for fine and controlled adjustment of an injection molding process and related industrial process
The invention relates to an apparatus for fine and controlled adjustment of an injection molding process and a related industrial process.
The apparatus (1) has a sealed mold (2) supplied with fluid reactive resin via a supply inlet (8) and by means of a mixing and injection head (9) so as to impregnate with said resin fibers of composite material loaded inside a cavity (6) of the mold (2) and wherein at least one storage container (10) having an inlet/outlet opening (11) in fluid communication with an outlet (13) of said injection head (9) is provided so as to store a predefined quantity of fluid resin inside a storage chamber (16) prior to completion of the injection phase. Advantageously, the storage container (10) is a cylinder (18) defining internally a storage chamber (16) which houses slidably inside it a plunger (21) operated by an actuator (25) configured as a cylinder/piston assembly arranged as a coaxial extension of said cylinder (18) and comprising an actuating piston (15) having a stem (22) coinciding with the stem of said plunger (21); the cylinder (18) of the storage chamber (16) and the cylinder (14) of said actuator (25) having cross-sections different from each other.
Flow splitter for slurry distribution system
A flow splitter can include an inlet conduit and first and second outlet conduits separated by a junction portion. The inlet conduit can include an inlet end and a junction end. The inlet conduit is disposed along a main flow axis extending between the inlet end and the junction end. The inlet end defines an inlet opening. The junction end defines first and second junction openings. The first junction opening is disposed in spaced relationship to the second junction opening. The junction portion is disposed at the junction end of the inlet conduit between the first and second junction openings. The junction portion includes a substantially planar wall region that is substantially perpendicular to the main flow axis. The flow splitter can be placed in fluid communication with a cementitious slurry mixer and a slurry distributor with the flow splitter disposed therebetween.

Foam-in-bag systems and components thereof
A system for opening and closing a mixing manifold includes a drive motor, a cam plate, and a valving rod connector. The drive motor imparts movement in first and second directions. Movement imparted in the first direction causes the cam plate to move linearly in a third direction and movement imparted in the second direction causes the cam plate to move linearly in a fourth direction. Movement of the cam plate in the third direction causes the valving rod connector to move linearly in a fifth direction and movement of the cam plate in the fourth direction causes the valving rod connector to move linearly in a sixth direction. Movement of the valving rod connector in the fifth direction causes retraction of a valving rod of the mixing manifold and movement of the valving rod connector in the sixth direction causes extension of the valving rod.
