ANESTHESIA APPLICATORS/INJECTORS FOR DENTAL AND OTHER APPLICATIONS AND METHODS OF USE
Disclosed are applicators and methods injecting of a liquid anesthetic into a dental patient with no or minimal pain. In accordance with one embodiment the applicator is for intraligamentary injection and includes an elongated, thin member having an open distal free formed of a resilient and somewhat conformable material suitable for producing a substantially fluid-tight interface with the anatomic structures at the gingival sulcus to inject the anesthetic therein. In another embodiment the applicator includes a flexible skirt surrounding a sharpened cannula, with the cannula being movable with respect to the skirt. The skirt is arranged to receive the anesthetic to anesthetize the gum, whereupon the cannula can then pierce the gum to inject the anesthetic into the underlying anatomic structure.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR OVERFILLING DRUG CONTAINERS
Disclosed herein are methods for overfilling primary packaging components, and drug products prepared according to those methods. The methods may include introducing a volume of a formulated drug substance into a primary packaging component having a nominal volume, where the volume of the formulated drug substance is greater than the nominal volume of the primary packaging component. In some cases, the primary packaging component may be a prefillable syringe.
SYRINGE FOR DERMAL REGENERATION
A syringe for dermal regeneration comprises a body comprising inner and outer tubes, a cylinder filled with a first fluid being inserted into the inner tube from behind, and the outer tube being spaced apart from the inner tube and shaped to surround the inner tube such that a fillable space is formed between the inner tube and the outer tube and is filled with a second fluid; an injector coupled to the front portion of the body, the injector comprising a first part, a second part, and a third part; a through-hole formed through one side of the second part of the injector so as to communicate with the fillable space; and a check valve provided in the through-hole so as to block a flow of fluid from the injector to the fillable space and to allow a flow of fluid from the fillable space to the injector.
Dosing regimens for echinocandin class compounds
The invention features pharmaceutical compositions, methods, and kits featuring dosing gimens and oral dosage formulations for administration of echinocandin class compounds.

Devices and methods for drug administration and mixing, and training of proper techniques therefor
A device for training users in a proper mixing of pharmaceutical components, or for aiding in the mixing, or for performing the mixing, and administration of pharmaceutical components is disclosed. The device comprises a housing for receiving a pharmaceutical delivery device containing the pharmaceutical components. There is also a microcontroller disposed in the housing and a motion/orientation detection device disposed within or on the housing and in communication with the microcontroller. A method for use of the device is also disclosed, along with a substance for use as one of the pharmaceutical components.
Cryotherapeutic delivery device
A device for aseptic delivery of biological material from a vial includes a tubular barrel, a filter assembly, and a dispersion funnel assembly. The tubular barrel includes a receiving end to accept at least a portion of the vial within the tubular barrel, and a dispensing end opposite the receiving end. The filter assembly is fluidly connected to the dispensing end of the tubular barrel. The dispersion funnel assembly is configured to connect to the vial, and to be disposed at least partially within the tubular barrel. The dispersion funnel assembly has an open configuration to disperse the biological material from the vial into the tubular barrel between the dispersion funnel assembly and the filter assembly, and a closed configuration to force the dispersed biological material through the filter assembly when the dispersion funnel assembly is moved toward the dispensing end of the tubular barrel.
Prefilled syringe plunger simulation training device
In an embodiment, an injection simulation device is provided including a housing defining a channel, the housing comprising a proximal end and a distal end, a plunger comprising a plunger rod body having a proximal end and a distal end and a stopper disposed at the distal end of the plunger rod, the plunger movable proximally and distally within the channel; and a friction feature associated with the housing, the friction feature for interfacing with the plunger rod, wherein the plunger moves in a distal direction relative to the housing to simulate medicament delivery and in a proximal direction to reset the injection simulation device, wherein the friction feature optionally causes differential resistance on the plunger rod, when the plunger rod moves in either the distal or proximal direction.
Prefilled syringe with pegfilgrastim having optimized dose and methods related thereto
A prefilled syringe and a method of filling a syringe with a pegfilgrastim solution to provide a target extracted volume of pegfilgrastim solution from the syringe are described. A method includes selecting the target extracted volume of pegfilgrastim solution, determining an estimated drug transfer loss, determining an estimated syringe dead volume, filling the syringe with a volume of pegfilgrastim solution comprising at least the target extracted volume plus the estimated drug transfer loss plus the estimated syringe dead volume.
