PREFORM, RESIN-MADE CONTAINER, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A preform including: an opening portion; a body portion; and a bottom portion, the preform having a two-layer structure in which the body portion and the bottom portion include an inner layer made of a virgin material and an outer layer made of a recycled material, in which a weight ratio of the recycled material to a total weight of the preform is 50% by weight or more, a ratio of a thickness of the outer layer to a thickness of the inner layer in the body portion is 1.5 or more, and a haze of a body portion of a container molded from the preform is 1.8% or less.
INJECTION MOLDING MACHINES AND RELATED METHODS FOR PRODUCING PREFORMS
A method for injection molding a preform includes: a) loading a barrier membrane into a first mold cavity; b) injecting melt into the first mold cavity to undermold the barrier membrane and form a preform inner layer on an inside of the barrier membrane; c) moving the preform inner layer and the barrier membrane from the first mold cavity into a second mold cavity; and d) injecting melt into the second mold cavity to overmold the barrier membrane and form a preform outer layer on an outside of the barrier membrane. Preforms formed by the method and an injection molding machine to carry out the method are also disclosed.

INJECTION MOLDING MOLD, PREFORM MOLDING METHOD, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING HOLLOW ARTICLE
When a preform is released at an early stage from an injection molding mold, the injection cooling time is shortened before releasing the preform at an early stage from the injection molding mold to shorten the cycle time of molding the preform while the preform trunk portion is prevented from being deformed. A trunk support portion is formed on an outer end inner surface portion of a support ring molding portion in the lip mold and is configured to support a preform trunk portion at a time of releasing the preform in a non-contact manner.
Photoelastic characterization of residual stresses and stress distributions in injection molded preforms and stretch blow-molded bottle
This disclosure provides new methods to characterize and relate residual stress and orientation imparted to the injection molded polymeric preform with orientation and residual stress in the resulting blow molded bottle. The method developed allows one to define and map the coupled thermal stress histories of both processes to define applicable preferred mutual processing windows for both preform and bottle molding processes. Stretch blow-molding parameters are developed using the disclosed method.

Container and method of manufacture
A method includes injection molding a preform using a two phase injection system having a first phase in which a material is injected into the preform and a second phase in which the material is injected into the preform. The preform is disposed in a mold. The preform is blow molded into an intermediate article. The intermediate article is trimmed to form a finished container. The first phase includes injecting a material into the preform to form a single layer of the preform and the second phase includes injecting the material to form inner and outer layers and an intermediate layer between the inner and outer layers. The inner and outer layers include the material and the intermediate layer includes at least one additive. Finished containers are disclosed.

PREFORMS FOR STRETCH-BLOW-MOULDING CONTAINERS AND CONTINUOUS BLOW MOULDING MACHINE PRODUCING THE CONTAINERS
Non-symmetric and volume reduced preforms and containers stretch blow moulded therefrom by a continuously rotating, preform feed, stretch-blow-moulding machine dedicated to the stretch-blow-moulding of containers from non-symmetric or reduced volume injection moulded preforms; the non-symmetric or reduced volume preforms including an integral handle extending from a first junction point to a second junction point on a body of the preform; the body of the preform and the integral handle constituted from the same material.
Method of injection molding preform
A method of injection molding a test tube-shaped preform for biaxial stretch blow molding includes supplying a major material resin from outer and inner flow paths to a combined flow path for a predetermined time and rate. For a period of time within a range of the predetermined time period during which the major material resin is supplied, the intermediate layer resin is simultaneously supplied from the middle flow path to the combined flow path at a second predetermined supplying rate. A columnar laminated molten resin is injected into a cavity of a metal mold connected to a tip of the nozzle through a gate to fill the cavity, the columnar laminated molten resin being composed of the major material resin and the intermediate layer resin formed in the major material resin in a laminated manner that are combined into a columnar shape at the combined flow path.
