METHOD FOR PRODUCING RESIN CONTAINER AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING RESIN CONTAINER
Provided is a resin container manufacturing method including: an injection molding process of injection molding a plurality of preforms along a predetermined arrangement direction; a temperature adjustment process of adjusting a temperature of the preform; and a blow molding process of molding a resin container from the preform. After the injection molding process, the preform and the container are conveyed along a conveying direction intersecting the arrangement direction over the temperature adjustment process and the blow molding process. The temperature adjustment process includes a first temperature adjustment process of adjusting the temperature of the preform, a second temperature adjustment process of adjusting the temperature of the preform under a condition different from that of the first temperature adjustment process, and a fine adjustment process of finely adjusting the temperature of the preform.
Method of making article with visual effect
Method of making a blow molded article from a preform including: a) providing a preform of a thermoplastic material having a plurality of effect structures each having an effect surface having a normal with an orientation, the preform having a body with one or more walls and an opening, wherein at least a portion of the one or more walls of the preform has a three-dimensional pattern of cavities and/or protrusions thereon; and b) blow molding the preform to form a blow molded article, wherein the step of blow molding the preform changes the orientation of the normal of at least some of the effect surfaces of the effect structures to create a visual effect in at least one wall of the blow molded article.

Lens, light emitting device and method of manufacturing the lens and the light emitting device
A lens includes a cover part and a light-shielding part. The cover part includes a lens part, a connection part extending downward from lateral sides of the lens part, and one or more flange parts each extending outward from a lower-end portion of the connection part. The lens part and the connection part define a recess having an opening facing downward. The flange parts extend outward from a periphery of the opening of the recess. The lens part, the flange parts, and the connection part are formed of a thermosetting first resin and continuous to one another. The light-shielding part covers outer lateral surface of the connection part and is formed of a thermosetting second resin having a greater light-absorptance or a greater light-reflectance than the thermosetting first resin. The flange parts have a greater thickness than the connection part.
Recycled pet barrier bottle
The invention relates to a preform for producing a plastic container in a blow moulding method, comprising an elongated, preform body, which is formed so as to be closed at the one longitudinal end thereof and, at the other longitudinal end thereof, has a neck section having a pouring opening. The preform is produced from recycled PET and aliphatic furanoate, wherein the recycled PET has a maximum of 2.5 wt % of isophthalic acid and diethylene glycol, wherein the proportion of isophthalic acid is no higher than 2.0 wt %, and the proportion of diethylene glycol is no higher than 2.0 wt %, wherein all the percentages by weight are based on the total weight of the preform. Turbidity of the preform, measured in accordance with ASTM D I 003-00, is less than 5%, as a result of the admixture of the aliphatic furanoate.

High pressure obturators and method of making
A high pressure obturator for a breech loaded, tube-launched projectile includes a generally annular ring having a central longitudinal axis and a radially inward portion. A flange portion is disposed radially outward of and partially contiguous with the radially inward portion. The flange portion extends axially forward and aft beyond the radially inward portion. The outer diameter of the flange portion decreases linearly from an aft most outer diameter to a forward most outer diameter. The obturator may be formed of a plastic material and include circumferential wraps of a high-strength fiber completely embedded in grooves in the obturator.

CONTAINER PREFORM WITH TAMPER EVIDENCE FINISH PORTION
A preform is provided for blow-molding to form a container. The preform includes a finish portion for rotatably engaging a closure to seal contents within an interior of the container. The finish portion comprises a cylindrical body that begins at an opening to the interior and extends to and includes a tamper evidence ledge. A mirror polished sealing surface inside the finish portion cooperates with a plug seal of the closure to seal the container. Threads outside the finish portion engage with similar threads inside the closure. Thread starts of the threads reduce potential damage to the threads during installation of the closure. The thread starts may include a start pitch that is greater than a thread pitch of the threads. A handling valley disposed between the threads and the tamper evidence ledge facilitates air-conveying the container along a manufacturing assembly line.
