RECYCLED ROOF BOARD
A method of forming a building material by: supplying a shredded or granulated thermoplastic material having post-industrial or post-consumer use thermoplastic material; and then heating and compressing the shredded or granulated thermoplastic material to form a rigid building material.
Methods of forming blocks utilizable for building construction out of non-recyclable plastic waste raw material
A method of forming blocks having dimensional uniformity thereacross associated with building construction includes shredding, via a shredder, a non-recyclable plastic waste raw material having a specific dimensional length and a height into a number of strips having a uniform dimensional width of 0.120 inches to 1 inch, and weighing the number of strips at a weigh apparatus. The method also includes isolating and batching the number of strips collected and weighed, and compressing the isolated and batched number of strips in a compression chamber to form a block based on steam-sanitizing the isolated and batched number of strips in the compression chamber with steam having a temperature varying from 220 F. to 850 F. and a pressure of 30-500 Pounds per Square Inch (PSI) and introduced intermittently across regions of the compression chamber to solely activate a base polymer of each of the isolated and batched number of strips.
Mesh structure and method of forming the mesh structure
A method of forming a mesh from thermoplastic material includes the steps of: providing an apparatus comprising a shredder and a binding station, urging thermoplastic material through the shredder to from strips of shredded material, and then transferring the shredded thermoplastic material through the binding station to form a more integral mesh formation from the shredded thermoplastic material. Such mesh material can be used for a variety of applications such as cushioning or the like.
Footwear item, in particular for practising a sport
The present invention relates to a footwear article (10), comprising: a upper (30), a majority by mass of the upper or a majority of the surface of the upper is made of a main upper material and possibly of one or more auxiliary upper material(s); a sole (20), a majority by mass of the sole is made of a main sole material and possibly of one or more auxiliary sole material(s);
and the main upper material, and possibly the auxiliary upper material(s), and the main sole material, and possibly the auxiliary sole material(s), is/are selected among the following materials: the polyolefins, the styrenic thermoplastic elastomers, the olefinic thermoplastic elastomers, and the vulcanized thermoplastic elastomers. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such a footwear article (10).
Processing petroleum-derived materials
A method of contacting petroleum-derived plastic materials with a lipid composition comprising fatty acid moieties, and an optional filler, to produce an agglomerate or a composite of the agglomerate, as well as an apparatus for carrying out the method and extruding the agglomerate or composite with a specific form or shape.

A method for obtaining mechanically recoverable recycled material from multilayer PET (polyethylene terephthalate) containers of post-consumer and/or post-industrial origin involves cleaning the containers, crushing them into pieces, mixing the pieces with a compatibilizing mixture and melting the mixed product to obtain a continuous filament. The compatibilising mixture is formed by at least: 10-45% thermoplastic polyolefin matrix; a reagent of plant origin in a percentage of less than 7.5% of the total mixture; and a rosin-based tackifier in a percentage of less than 7.5% of the total mixture.
Processing method of recycling pet material from bags
A processing method of recycling PET material from bags includes the steps of breaking a bag into a plurality of PET broken pieces and PET fragments; blending the PET broken pieces and PET fragments to form a plurality of plastic granules; thermally plasticizing the plastic granules into a continuous plastic bar; cooling the continuous plastic bar to cure the same into a cured plastic bar, which is cut into a plurality of recycled plastic pellets; thermally plasticizing a mixture of the recycled plastic pellets and a compatibilizer to form a continuous modified plastic bar; and lastly, cooling the continuous modified plastic bar to cure the same into a cured and modified plastic bar, which is cut into a plurality of modified plastic pellets. With the above PET recycling method, it is able to save the step of sorting materials and produce modified plastic pellets with enhanced mechanical strength.
