PRECONDITIONED RESIN AGGREGATE
Systems and methods are provided for making aggregate from comingled waste plastics. For example, there is provided a method of making a preconditioned absorptive resin aggregate, the method including: obtaining a supply of granulated mixed plastic waste treated with a preconditioning agent that comprises at least one of calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide; mixing the supply of granulated mixed plastic waste treated with the calcium oxide preconditioning agent with one or more additives to form a plastic waste mixture, the one or more additives comprising pozzolans; hot extruding the plastic waste mixture to form an extruded product comprising waste plastic material; cooling the extruded product; and processing the extruded product to form an aggregate. Products incorporating such aggregates, such as, for example, lightweight construction blocks, are also provided. Also provided are methods of forming a waste plastics feedstock.
AUGER FOR GRINDING POLYURETHANE FOR A TIRE FILLING MACHINE
An auger for a grinder material for a tire filling machine, having: a cylindrical column; and a plurality of flights extending outwardly from the cylindrical core, wherein (i) the flights are arranged in pairs extending radially outwards from the cylindrical column at 180 degrees to one another, and (ii) each flight has a sharpened leading edge. Each pair of flights are positioned at angles of approximately 50 or 60 degrees to one another, and each flight extends approximately half way around the circumference of the cylindrical column, and there are no outer edge notches in the flights.
PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF AN ADDITIVE FOR BITUMINOUS CONGLOMERATES WITH HIGH MECHANICAL PERFORMANCES
The present invention refers to a process for the production of an additive composition intended to be mixed into a bituminous conglomerate for road paving. The process includes grinding a mixed waste material containing a mixture of plastic materials, which includes at least one plastic material based on a polyolefin thermoplastic material, washing the ground mixed waste material and separating a portion of low-density material which contains the plastic material based on a polyolefin thermoplastic polymer from the mixed waste material. This portion of low-density material is then ground to a particle size between 10 mm and 20 mm; and then mixed with a material based on polyvinyl butyral. The resultant mixture is further ground to produce an additive composition having a particle size between 4 mm and 6 mm.
APPARATUS FOR RECYCLING WASTE AUTOMOBILE FLOOR MAT
An apparatus for recycling a waste automobile floor mat according to the present invention includes: a plurality of conveyer belts which is sequentially disposed and transfers compressed, cut, crushed scraps; a first cutter which cuts each of the compressed, transferred scraps at predetermined intervals; a crusher which crushes the cut, transferred scraps; a pair of first hoppers into and from which the crushed, transferred scraps and polypropylene are introduced and discharged, respectively; a pair of first screw conveyers which transfer the scraps and the polypropylene; a second hopper into and from which the scraps and the polypropylenes are introduced and discharged; a second screw conveyer which transfers the scraps and the polypropylene; a melter which melts the scraps and the polypropylene; a third screw conveyer which forms an extrudate by extruding the mixed, molten scraps and polypropylene; and a second cutter which cuts the extrudate at predetermined intervals.
Recyclable Structurally-Colored Structures and Articles, and Methods of Recycling Structures and Articles
In one aspect, an article has a structure comprising a recycled composition comprising optical elements and fragments, which has an optical property value (e.g., visible light transmittance or reflectance) that is within 10% of the optical property value of a similar structure without the optical elements or fragments. Other aspects include a recyclable structurally-colored component or article, as well as methods of recycling structurally-colored articles.
MANUFACTURE OF FILAMENT MATERIAL
A method utilizes waste product in manufacturing, such as manufacture of filaments or micro-pellets for use in manufacturing applications such as additive manufacturing, extrusion, injection molding, blow molding and other applications.
Method for preparing waste powder from generative production processes
The invention relates to a method for preparing waste powder from generative production processes, by means of which three-dimensional objects are produced in layers from a powdery base material. The aim of the invention is to provide a method for the combined mechanical and material preparation of waste powder, wherein the waste powder is brought into such a structure that subsequently, by mixing with or even without new powder or mixtures of new and waste powders, a high-quality powdery material becomes available for generative production processes. This aim is achieved in that the waste powder is subjected to a mechanical treatment by reducing the waste powder to small pieces with a grinding mill.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FUEL MADE OF RUBBER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The invention relates to an environmentally friendly fuel made of rubber and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of pulverizing a rubber material into rubber powder; and mixing the rubber powder with a toxin elimination material to eliminate deleterious compositions such as chlorine and sulfur, wherein the toxin elimination material comprises a non-halogen flame retardant and a desulfurizing agent.
Method for Recycling Fiber-Reinforced Composite Materials
The invention relates to a method for recycling fiber composite materials, in which items containing fiber composite material are fed into an impact reactor and comminuted by mechanical loading, wherein the comminution is carried out in such a way that fiber needles with adhering matrix are produced as the comminution product.
Process for Producing Monovinylaromatic Polymer Incorporating Post-Consumer Recycled Polystyrene, Monovinylaromatic Polymer Incorporating Post-Consumer Recycled Polystyrene and Articles Produced Thereof
The invention relates to a process and an installation to produce a monovinylaromatic polymer (3) comprising post-consumer recycled polystyrene (PCR-PS) wherein the process comprises the steps of mixing the PCR-PS (5) and the monovinylaromatic monomer (7) within a dissolver (9) to dissolve the PCR-PS (5) in the monovinylaromatic monomer (7) so as to produce a polymerization mixture (13); and a step of filtering the polymerization mixture (13) that includes continuously redirecting at least a part of the stream of the filtered polymerization mixture (17) back to the dissolver (9) and mixing it with the polymerization mixture (13) so as to continuously reduce the content of insoluble material in the polymerization mixture (13) contained in the dissolver (9).
