STRUCTURALLY-REINFORCED PLASTIC COMPOSITE PRODUCTS PRODUCED WITH RECYCLED WASTE GLASS FIBERS AND RECYCLED POLYMER COMPOUNDS AND PROCESS FOR MAKING THE SAME
A recycled fiberglass reinforced polymer composite article and a method of the same are disclosed in the present disclosure. The reinforced composite article is composed of a recycled fiberglass collected from waste streams and functioning as a filler, the recycled fiberglass being 30-70% of a total weight of the reinforced composite article; a colorant of 1-2% of the total weight of the reinforced composite article; and a recycled resin substantially wetting-out the recycled glass fiber by the black colorant and a chemical binder.
Colorant dispersion in polymer materials using solid-state shear pulverization
Methods for improved colorant dispersion in polymer materials using solid-state shear pulverization, as compared to mixing techniques of the prior art, to address concerns relating to colorant agglomeration, plating-out and the like.
Preconditioned resin aggregate
Systems and methods are provided for making aggregate from comingled waste plastics. For example, there is provided a method of making a preconditioned absorptive resin aggregate, the method including: obtaining a supply of granulated mixed plastic waste treated with a preconditioning agent that comprises at least one of calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide; mixing the supply of granulated mixed plastic waste treated with the calcium oxide preconditioning agent with one or more additives to form a plastic waste mixture, the one or more additives comprising pozzolans; hot extruding the plastic waste mixture to form an extruded product comprising waste plastic material; cooling the extruded product; and processing the extruded product to form an aggregate. Products incorporating such aggregates, such as, for example, lightweight construction blocks, are also provided. Also provided are methods of forming a waste plastics feedstock.
Process for devulcanizing rubber
A process for devulcanizing EPDM rubber comprising the step of introducing sulfur-cured EPDM to an extruder, introducing from about 0.5 to about 20 wt % scavenging agent, based upon the total weight of the EPDM and scavenging agent, and mixing and masticating the EPDM at a temperature sufficient to at least partially devulcanize the sulfur-cured EPDM.
FOOTWEAR MANUFACTURING PROCESS
A method of reclaiming used tennis balls and transforming the material reclaimed from the tennis balls into soles for footwear. This multi-step process requires acquiring used tennis balls, grinding the tennis balls into ground rubber bits (usable elements) and tennis ball fuzz (unusable elements). The rubber and fuzz are passed through a screen which allows the rubber bits to exit the screen but retains the fuzz. The rubber is then mixed with an H.sub.2O and Polyurethane mixture to form a rubber mixture. This mixture is then pressed to a desired thickness in a hydraulic press, cured, and then cut out into a desired shoe sole shape and size which can be used to manufacture footwear.
METHOD FOR OBTAINING RECYCLATE FROM THERMOSETTING MATERIALS, MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR A THERMOSETTING FIBER COMPOSITE SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCT AS WELL AS USE OF A RECYCLATE POWDER AS A FILLER FOR MANUFACTURING A THERMOSETTING FIBER COMPOSITE SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCT, MANUFACTURING A RECYCLATE POWDER AS AN ALTERNATIVE FILLER FOR MANUFACTURING PLASTIC PRODUCTS AND FURTHER SECTORS
A method for obtaining recyclate from thermosetting materials, comprising the following method steps: providing thermosetting starting materials to be recycled; breaking the thermosetting starting materials with a twin-shaft shredder to obtain a plurality of fragments; shredding the fragments with a single-shaft shredder to obtain a plurality of flakes; and fine grinding of the flakes with a grinding device to obtain a recyclate powder.
METHOD OF PRODUCING STRETCH-BLOW-MOLDED ARTICLE, RESIN COMPOSITION, METHOD OF PRODUCING THE RESIN COMPOSITION, PELLETS AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE PELLETS
A method of producing a stretch-blow-molded article, comprising: a process of producing a preform from a melt-kneaded product of a resin mixture comprising at least a wax, a styrene-based resin and a carbodiimide compound; and a process of stretch-blow molding the preform to produce the stretch-blow-molded article.
METHOD OF PRODUCING GLASS FIBER-REINFORCED RECYCLED POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE RESIN COMPOSITION, AND MOLDED ARTICLE OBTAINED BY MOLDING GLASS FIBER-REINFORCED RECYCLED POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE RESIN COMPOSITION
A method of producing a glass fiber-reinforced recycled PPS resin composition, includes: crushing a molded product containing a polyphenylene sulfide resin and glass fibers to obtain a crushed molded product (A), and mixing the crushed molded product (A) and a PPS resin composition (B) containing 40 to 90 wt % of the PPS resin having a weight average molecular weight of 20,000 to 60,000 and 10 to 60 wt % of glass fibers. The glass fiber-reinforced recycled PPS resin composition suppresses breakage of glass fibers at the time of recycling the glass fiber-reinforced PPS resin composition, and has excellent mechanical properties.
Polyester film and method for producing the same
A polyester film and a method for producing the same are provided. The polyester film includes a physically recycled polyester resin and a chemically recycled polyester resin. The physically recycled polyester resin is formed of physically recycled polyester chips, and the physically recycled polyester chips have a first intrinsic viscosity. The chemically recycled polyester resin is formed of chemically recycled polyester chips, and the chemically recycled polyester chips have a second intrinsic viscosity. The second intrinsic viscosity is less than the first intrinsic viscosity. The physically recycled polyester chips and the chemically recycled polyester chips are mixed with each other and melt extruded according to a predetermined intrinsic viscosity, so that the polyester film has the predetermined intrinsic viscosity.
Recycling method of waste fishnet
A recycling method of waste fishnet is provided. The waste fishnet is processed with steps of cutting, removing impurities, cleaning, and drying to form fishnet chips. The recycling method of waste fishnet includes the following steps. The fishnet chips are mixed with nylon-66, wherein the fishnet chips are of 70% by weight, and nylon-66 is of 30% by weight. The mixture is heated and molten. The molten mixture is then processed with the step of granulation. The grains are then processed with the step of spinning Thereby, the waste fishnet can be recycled and transferred into useful plastic materials.
