A plunger control grip is slidably coupled to a portion of the body circumference and configured to couple to a syringe plunger. The apparatus further comprises a cover pivotably coupled to the first end of the body, wherein in an open position the cover exposes a cavity configured to receive a syringe. A locking mechanism is pivotally secured to the cover, wherein the locking mechanism is configured to prevent forward movement of the plunger control grip when in a locked position and to enable forward movement of the plunger control grip when in an unlocked position. The unlocked position is activated by external contact with the locking mechanism and forward movement is in the direction toward the first end of the body.

Drug delivery system with sensor having optimized communication and infusion site
A drug delivery system having a drug delivery device and an associated sensor is provided. The sensor can be associated with a sensing site on user. The drug delivery device can be positioned over the sensor in any rotational position and can be associated with an infusion site on the user. The close positioning of the sensor and the drug delivery device allows data from the sensor to be relayed to the drug delivery device and then on to a remote control device. Further, the drug delivery device can be replaced at the end of its duration of use, which is shorter than the duration of use of the sensor, without disturbing the sensor. Subsequent drug delivery devices can then be used with the sensor while allowing each corresponding infusion site to be changed, thereby providing more efficient operation of the drug delivery system.
Autoinjector with Delayed Signal of Complete Medication Delivery
The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising: a housing (10, 16) having a distal and an proximal end, said housing being adapted to receive a medicament container (18) with a delivery member (20) or with a connectable delivery member for delivery of a medicament; a drive mechanism (54) arranged to act on a plunger rod (58), which plunger rod (58) in turn is arranged to act on the medicament container (18) for providing automatic delivery of the medicament; a release mechanism (62) interactively connected to the drive mechanism (54) for releasing the drive mechanism (54) from a pre-tensioned state; a signal generating mechanism (90) for generating an audible and/or tactile and/or visual signal indicating that the medicament has been completely delivered, which signal generating mechanism (90) is operably connected to said drive mechanism such that it is arranged movable in a longitudinal direction in relation to said drive mechanism (54), that said drive mechanism (54) is arranged with a signal release mechanism (111) capable of activating said signal generating mechanism (90) at a certain longitudinal position of said drive mechanism after its release, for generating an audible and/or tactile and/or visual signal, wherein said signal generating mechanism (90) comprises a signal delay mechanism (105) operably arranged to delay the generation of signal after activation of said signal generating mechanism (90).

Auto-injector
The invention relates to a compression connection means for an auto-injector (A), wherein the compression connection means adapted to attach a front-end device of the auto-injector (A) to a back-end device of the auto-injector (A) comprises of an annular mounting sleeve that is axially displaceable parallel to a longitudinal axis (X) between a locked position (L) and an unlocked position, a mounting sleeve spring biasing the mounting sleeve towards a locked position (L), at least one latch arm connected to one of either the front-end device or the back-end device, wherein the latch arm is deflectable in a radial direction, wherein the mounting sleeve in the locked position (L) is arranged to prevent the radial deflection of the latch arm and wherein the mounting sleeve in the unlocked position allows for a radial deflection of the latch arm, so as to allow the latch arm to be deflected on assembly or disassembly of the front-end device to the back-end device and to latch to or unlatch from the other of the front-end device or the back-end device.
Needle shield removal mechanism for injection device
An injection device comprises a housing for holding a syringe that has a needle at one end and (ii) a cap that is removably attached to the housing and that has a needle shield to cover said needle. The cap further comprises an actuator and a gear assembly comprising first and second linear gears and a double gear. The gear assembly is configured such that movement of the first linear gear in a first direction rotates the double gear to drive the second linear gear to urge the needle shield away from the housing. The actuator is configured to move the first linear gear in the first direction.
