Acoustic detection of a usage of an injection device
Implementations of the present disclosure are directed to an injection device (102) including a medicament reservoir (103) configured to store a medicament to be expelled by the injection device (102), an acoustic source (122a, 122b, 122c, 122d, 200, 300, 400) configured to generate an acoustic signal including information indicative of an amount of the medicament stored in the medicament reservoir (103), the acoustic signal being transmitted to an external device (104) configured to process the acoustic signal and to extract injection device data.
Compact injector systems and methods
Devices and methods for a compact injector are provided with a compact configuration for ease of carrying or storage, and an activated configuration ready for injection. In the compact configuration, a plunger and a needle are both retracted into the injector housing, and upon actuation to the activated configuration, the plunger extends proximally and the needle extends distally, ready for injection. An extendable needle shield is also provided to block visibility of the needle during injection, and to reduce the risk of inadvertent needle stick at other times, including disposal.
Wearable injector with sterility sensors
An on-body drug delivery device having a housing and a cartridge removably attachable to the housing. The cartridge comprises: a drug chamber, a piston received in the drug chamber movable from a first, initial position to a second position, an actuation device for moving the piston from the first position to the second position, and at least one breakable sterility sensor circuit formed by attachment of the cartridge to the housing, the circuit being closed when the cartridge is properly attached to the housing and broken if the cartridge is not properly attached to the housing or removed from the housing after being attached thereto, and/or the circuit being broken if the piston is not in the initial position when the cartridge is first attached to the housing.
AUTO-INJECTOR
An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament includes an elongate tubular case and a carrier subassembly including a tubular carrier slidably arranged inside the case. The carrier is adapted to contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle, a drive spring, and a plunger for forwarding load of the drive spring to a stopper of the syringe, wherein the syringe is lockable for joint axial translation with the carrier, wherein the drive spring acts between the carrier and the plunger, wherein the plunger, in an initial state, is locked to the carrier by a ramped engagement to the carrier and by being prevented from rotating out of this ramped engagement, depending on a relative longitudinal position of the carrier in the case, and wherein the plunger is arranged to be released for rotating out of the ramped engagement.
Medical device assembly
Medical device assemblies having a connection mechanism for securely connecting a hub to fluid storage containers in a luer slip relationship are described. An exemplary medical device includes a hub forming a cavity, a second indicating element disposed within the cavity that engages the hub. Additional features of the medical device include a second indicating element contoured to form a line contact with the hub. In a specific configuration, the hub includes a first indicating element attached to the hub and extending proximally into the cavity having a protrusion. In a more specific configuration, the medical device includes a fluid storage container that has an indication system for visually indicating optimal fluid-tight engagement of the hub and the fluid storage container.
APPLICATORS FOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING MICRODOSES OF MEDICATION
Devices, systems, and methods are provided herein for delivering medication (e.g., insulin) via a wearable pump having a patch-style form factor for adhesion to a user's body. The reusable pump may be coupled to a disposable cap housing a microdosing system for delivering precise, repeatable doses of medication to a cannula configured to deliver medication to a target infusion area beneath the user's outer skin layer. The system further may include an applicator for inserting the cannula into the user's skin and/or applying an adhesive pad to the skin.
Prefilled syringe with breakaway force feature
A jet injector that includes a prefilled syringe. The syringe includes a fluid chamber that contains a medicament. The syringe also has an injection-assisting needle, and a plunger is movable within the fluid chamber. A housing is configured for allowing insertion of the needle to a penetration depth. The housing includes a retractable guard and an interference component, e.g., a lock ring, adjacent to the retractable guard that interferes with the movement of the retractable guard. An energy source is configured for biasing the plunger to produce an injecting pressure to jet inject the medicament from the fluid chamber through the needle to an injection site.

INJECTION DEVICE
Provided is an injection device including an engagement releasing mechanism configured to release engagement between a plunger and an engaging member and to cause the plunger to be located at an end point in a manner that the plunger moves from a start point toward the end point by an urging force of a plunger urging portion and the plunger and the engaging member rotate relative to each other around a central axis.
Multi-component safety needle cover
A safety cover configured to be coupled to an injection device and to provide a protective enclosure for a needle of the injection device, the safety cover including an outer cover member; an inner cover member coupled to the outer cover member in a concentric arrangement so that the outer cover member encloses at least a portion of the inner cover member, wherein the outer cover member is configured to move relative to the inner cover member from an unlocked position, in which the needle of the injection device is accessible for use, to a locked position, in which the outer cover member and the inner cover member are fixed at one another and the needle of the injection device is inaccessible, wherein the outer cover member includes a body that includes a proximal end, a distal end, and a cavity defined within the body.
