SURFACE PROTRUSION FORMATIONS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
Methods and systems for mechanically forming one or more surface protrusions integrally from a garment material, the one or more surface protrusions extending outwardly from a garment surface of the garment material, include pre-heating at least one selected area of the garment material; placing the at least one selected area of the garment surface that is pre-heated against a first surface of a forming die, the first surface having a plurality of openings which have a configuration and orientation corresponding with the configuration and orientation of the one or more surface protrusions of the garment material. The garment surface may be softened by application of a source of energy, at least some of the softened garment surface positioned into at least one opening of the plurality of openings.
CRUSH RESISTANT DELAYED-RELEASE DOSAGE FORMS
The invention relates to a dosage form comprising a physiologically effective amount of a physiologically active substance (A), a synthetic, semi-synthetic or natural polymer (C), optionally one or more physiologically acceptable auxiliary substances (B) and optionally a synthetic, semi-synthetic or natural wax (D), wherein the dosage form exhibits a resistance to crushing of at least 400 N and wherein under physiological conditions the release of the physiologically active substance (A) from the dosage form is at least partially delayed.
ABUSE-PROOFED DOSAGE FORM
The invention relates to a dosage form that is thermoformed without discoloration and is safeguarded from abuse, comprising at least one synthetic or natural polymer having a breaking strength of at least 500 N in addition to one or more active substances that could be subject to abuse. The invention also relates to a corresponding method for producing said dosage form.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ULTRASONIC-BASED ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
An apparatus, system and method of using ultrasonic energy for additive manufacturing. The apparatus, system and method may include comprising: a print bed of print material responsive to ultrasonic energy; and an ultrasonic print head suitable to deliver the ultrasonic energy to the print bed to thereby form the print material into a printed output according to a print plan that exerts control over the ultrasonic print head.
ULTRASONIC BURR REMOVAL DEVICE
In a deburring device configured to remove burrs of the molded product through radiation of ultrasonic waves, a height of the storage tank is set to 1.25 mm when a wavelength of an ultrasonic wave is set to mm. A frequency range of ultrasonic wave radiating means arranged on a bottom side of the washing water storage tank is set to from 18 KHz to 28 KHz, and power density is set to 2 W/cm.sup.2 or higher. Further, there is arranged oscillating means configured to allow the molded product immersed in the washing water to vertically move with a stroke of at least 1/2 mm in a vertical direction. Further, an amount of dissolved oxygen in the washing water is set to 1 mg/litter or less, and a water temperature of the deburring washing water is set to from 4 C. to 8 C.
PROCESS FOR MAKING CURABLE, MULTI-LAYER FIBER-REINFORCED PREPREG
Multilayer prepregs are formed by stacking layers of unidirectional prepregs in which continuous reinforcing fibers are aligned in a single direction. The unidirectional prepregs are made by impregnating aligned tows of a reinforcing fiber with a solid thermosetting resin that softens at a temperature below its cure temperature. The layers of the stack are bonded together by softening and then re-cooling the resin portion of the individual prepreg layers. The multilayer prepreg is then molded and cured to form a composite part.
Plastic corrugated container and intermediary blank
A corrugated plastic box and a method for manufacturing a corrugated plastic box from a blank are provided. The method includes the steps of forming rounded edge seals on the perimeter edges of the blank, pre-sealing portions of the blank to form a plurality of areas in which major and minor flap slots and a glue tab are desired, ultrasonically scoring the blank to form a plurality of flap score lines, and cutting the blank through the plurality of pre-sealed flap slots and glue tab, leaving a sealed edge.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A SELF-DESTRUCTIBLE TEMPORARY STRUCTURE
A three dimensional printing method for producing a self-destructible temporary structure, comprising: depositing, layer by layer, a degradable material solution having a biosynthetic copolymer as a degradable component and a disintegrating agent solution comprising enzyme as the disintegrating agent, wherein the disintegrating agent is capable of disintegrating the degradable component. The steps include curing deposited layers to form gel layers and activating the disintegrating agent by an external trigger during or after depositing the disintegrating agent to gradually degrade the degradable component.
Plastic corrugated container with ultrasonically formed score lines
A corrugated plastic box and a method for manufacturing a corrugated plastic box from a blank are provided. The method includes the steps of forming rounded edge seals on the perimeter edges of the blank, pre-sealing portions of the blank to form a plurality of areas in which major and minor flap slots and a glue tab are desired, ultrasonically scoring the blank to form a plurality of flap score lines, and cutting the blank through the plurality of pre-sealed flap slots and glue tab, leaving a sealed edge.
Method of treating a fiber cushion body
A fiber cushion body, which is formed from cross-linked fiber material and which is resiliently deformable when load is applied along a main load direction, is treated using ultrasonic energy. A portion of the fiber cushion body is displaced, for example using a sonotrode, and ultrasonic vibrations are applied to the fiber cushion body to re-shape the fiber cushion body from a first shape to a second shape different from the first shape.
