METHOD OF APPLYING INDICIA ONTO A SURFACE OF A PLASTIC ARTICLE
Methods, apparatus and system for decorating plastic articles having an uneven surface or hollow structure are disclosed. An assembly comprising a transfer pad and a flexible heat transfer die comprising a thermal interface material (TIM) replace the hard rubber die in a hot-stamping process to fuse indicia into the surface. The assembly modifies ordinary pad printing into a hot-stamping process that transfers indicia onto uneven surfaces. A pad printing machine or other robotics is used to move the assembly from a position of heating to a position of compressing the ink transfer to the surface of the article.
Injection moulding machine having a coating installation
The invention relates to an injection moulding machine having a coating installation, wherein the injection moulding machine has at least one fixed platen and one movable platen for the fastening of mould tool halves of at least one mould tool, and the coating installation has first pressure-generating and/or first pressure-conducting means for coating components at a first, relatively low pressure level and second pressure-generating and/or second pressure-conducting means for the coating components at a second, relatively high pressure level, wherein at least all second pressure-generating and all second pressure-conducting means are coupled to the movable platen so as to be jointly movable along a movement path of the movable platen.
METHOD OF FORMING SET PIN HOLE OF INSULATED CARBINE HOOK
A method of forming set pin hole of an insulated carbine hook includes: providing a core material with a perforation and a recess; putting the core material in a mold cavity of a mold including a movable pin protruding from an inner surface of the mold cavity, which is at an opening of the perforation; filling insulated material between an outer surface of the core material and the inner surface, and in the perforation and recess; forming an insulated layer on the outer surface and in the perforation and recess to obtain an insulated intermediate having a notch at the opening; aiming a removal tool at the notch; removing the insulated material at the other opening of and in the perforation, and at an opening of and in the recess to form the set pin hole, which makes the manufacturing a main body of the insulated carbine hook easy.
REFLECTIVE COATINGS AND IN-MOLD PROCESSES FOR THEIR APPLICATION TO POLYMER SUBSTRATES
Reflective coatings comprise a transparent binder, such as polyurethane, one or more reflective additives, such as metal flakes, coated mica or titanium dioxide particles, and a phosphor. Such coatings may be applied to polymer substrates such as polycarbonate, without any additional reflective coating, film or layer. Processes for the mixing and applying the coatings area described, including introducing a polymer substrate into a mold cavity of a mold, introducing a coating composition into the mold cavity containing the polymer substrate in order to coat the substrate, at processing temperature 50° C.-120° C., at processing pressure 11,000 to 20,700 kPa, and curing the composition in the mold cavity at cure temperature of 62-105° C.
ENTHALPY-DRIVEN SELF-HARDENING PROCESS AT THE POLYMERIC/METAL LAYER INTERFACE WITH AN INTERDIFFUSION PROCESS
A method of creating an interface includes: a) adding organometallic compounds to a polymeric material to create an interfacial layer; b) placing the polymeric material having the interfacial layer in a mold; c) heating a deposit material until the deposit material has a predetermined-minimized volumetric density; and d) depositing the deposit material on the interfacial layer. The latent heat of the molten metallic material transfers to the interfacial layer to create chemical bonds and physical interlocks between the interfacial layer and the metallic material. The deposit material cools to form solidified layer on the interfacial layer.
Display apparatus and manufacturing method of window member included in display apparatus
A display apparatus includes a display module having a display surface configured to display an image, and a window member disposed on the display surface. The window member includes a flexible base layer having a plurality of concave patterns defined on an upper portion thereof, and a plurality of hard coating patterns each disposed in a respective one of the concave patterns and having a hardness greater than the hardness of the flexible base layer.
CO-CURABLE FILM LAYER APPLICATION
The present disclosure is directed to a method for applying a multi-colored coating to a composite structure comprising applying a first co-curable film layer comprising a first color marking to a composite tool, applying a second co-curable film layer comprising a second color marking over the composite tool and at least partially over the first co-curable film layer to create a lay-up of a multi-colored marking, applying a composite structure over the lay-up of the multi-colored marking, and curing the lay-up of the multi-colored marking and the composite structure in a single curing step to create a cured multi-colored coating on the composite structure. A multi-colored coating for marking a composite structure and an aircraft part having a multi-colored marking are also provided.
Flexible heat transfer die comprising a thermal interface material
Methods, apparatus and system for decorating plastic articles having an uneven surface or hollow structure are disclosed. An assembly comprising a transfer pad and a flexible heat transfer die comprising a thermal interface material (TIM) replace the hard rubber die in a hot-stamping process to fuse indicia into the surface. The assembly modifies ordinary pad printing into a hot-stamping process that transfers indicia onto uneven surfaces. A pad printing machine or other robotics is used to move the assembly from a position of heating to a position of compressing the ink transfer to the surface of the article.
Polymeric cutting edge structures and method of manufacturing polymeric cutting edge structures
A functional polymeric cutting edge structure and methods for manufacturing cutting edge structures using polymeric materials are provided. A razor blade for use in a razor cartridge or a blade box for assembly in a razor cartridge frame may be formed using the present invention.
