PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AN OBJECT FROM A PRECUSOR AND USE OF A FREE-RADICALLY CROSSLINKABLE RESIN IN AN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING PROCESS
A process for producing an object from a precursor comprises the steps of: depositing a free-radically crosslinked resin atop a carrier to obtain a ply of a construction material joined to the carrier which corresponds to a first selected cross section of the precursor; depositing a free-radically crosslinked resin atop a previously applied ply of the construction material to obtain a further ply of the construction material which corresponds to a further selected cross section of the precursor and which is joined to the previously applied ply; repeating step II) until the precursor is formed; wherein the depositing of a free-radically crosslinked resin at least in step II) is effected by exposure and/or irradiation of a selected region of a free-radically crosslinkable resin corresponding to the respectively selected cross section of the object and wherein the free-radically crosslinkable resin has a viscosity (23 C., DIN EN ISO 2884-1) of 5 mPas to 100000 mPas. In the process the free-radically crosslinkable resin comprises a curable component in which NCO groups and olefinic CC double bonds are present, wherein in the curable component the molar ratio of NCO groups to olefinic CC double bonds is in a range from 1:5 to 5:1.

The method includes a molding step of irradiating a composition filled in the cavity of a mold with electromagnetic waves having a wavelength of from 0.01 m to 100 m, and molding the composition into the 3D object. The composition for molding a 3D object contains a solvent and at least one of a polymer and a polymerizable monomer.
FLAT-SHAPED LIGHT DEVICE WITH A SINGLE-MOLDED SECURING UNIT AND METHOD THEREOF
The disclosed invention provides a flat-shaped lightning device where all the components of the lighting unit are embedded in a single-mold, one-piece securing unit made out of a solid matrix. The lighting unit comprises a diffusing panel, a light guiding panel, a light source, a diffusing sheet and may also comprise a gasket and one or more circuit board. All of the parts, in particular, frames, plates, gaskets, that usually constitute the securing unit are replaced with a single-piece solid matrix obtained through a single operation. The lighting device is totally watertight, no parts can be loosened. The invention also provides a method for manufacturing the preferred embodiment of the invention.
Padding element for seats and method of manufacturing the same
Padding element for seats such as sofas, armchairs, chairs and armrests, wherein such seats have a support structure, or similar support structure for the human body or parts thereof, such as rest or anti-fatigue mats, anti-decubitus mattresses, shower mats, anti-impact mats, wherein the padding element is provided with a support surface for a user, wherein the padding element includes one film or covering, one gel layer adhering to part of the film or covering and one compact elastomeric layer having a surface for contact with the gel layer and with part of the film or covering and one surface for contact with the seat and/or with the support structure of the seat, wherein the compact elastomeric layer adheres to the gel layer and the film or covering; method for obtaining such padding element.
Gate design with plunging nozzle and a waste reservoir for separating off ratio material
This invention relates generally to an apparatus for casting a portion of a tire or other article of manufacture, and, more specifically, to an apparatus that has a gate design, that has a plunging nozzle with a waste reservoir for separating off-ratio material before it enters the cavity that forms a portion of the tire or other article of manufacture. The design may further include a passage that connects the runner to the waste reservoir as-well as an air vent that allows trapped gas or air to exit the waste reservoir as it fills with waste material, a valve that is operative!'/associated with the passage for closing and opening the passage at appropriate times, and a nozzle constructed from two independently translating components for initially introducing material into the waste reservoir and subsequently into the runner.
Gate design with concentric channel for separating off-ratio material
This invention relates generally to an apparatus for casting a portion of a tire or other article of manufacture, and, more specifically, to an apparatus that has a gate design that has a circular runner and concentric channel or waste reservoir for separating off-ratio material before it enters the cavity that forms a portion of the fire or oilier article of manufacture. The design may further include a passage that connects the runner to the waste reservoir as well as an air vent that allows trapped gas or air to exit the waste reservoir as it fills with waste material, a valve that Is operative!) associated with the passage for closing and opening the passage at appropriate times, and a nozzle for initially introducing material into the waste reservoir and subsequently into runner.
