Metrology-Based System for Operating a Flexible Manufacturing System
A method and apparatus for positioning an end effector relative to a fuselage assembly. The end effector is positioned relative to an expected reference location for a reference point on the fuselage assembly using data from a first metrology system. After positioning the end effector relative to the expected reference location, an actual reference location for the reference point on the fuselage assembly is identified using data from a second metrology system. The end effector is positioned at an operation location based on the actual reference location identified.
Composite epoxy-concrete paver with enhanced durability and aesthetic appeal
An improved composite paver is provided specifically designed to overcome the limitations of conventional concrete pavers. The paver comprises a base layer made from a mixture of concrete and epoxy in an eight-to-two ratio by volume, providing enhanced durability and resistance to cracking. An appearance layer, consisting of colorful vinyl flakes, is applied atop the base layer, adding texture and visual appeal. The paver is further encapsulated with an additional layer of epoxy mixed with clear sand, offering slip resistance and protection against environmental factors. The unique combination of materials and the manufacturing process results in a paver that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also significantly more durable and low maintenance compared to traditional options. The composite paver is suitable for various applications, including outdoor spaces such as patios, driveways, and walkways, providing a long-lasting and visually attractive paving solution.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICES AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
The disclosure provides drug delivery devices and methods of making and using the drug delivery devices. The devices include single and multi-layer polymer films made by a breath figure technique having therapeutic agents associated therewith. For example, the devices may be a dual layer polymer film wherein the first layer includes a therapeutic agent incorporated into it by spin coating the first agent with a polymer solution and the second agent is incorporated into the second layer by loading the agent into pores of the second layer after it is spin coated onto the first layer. In some cases one layer provides a burst release and the second layer provides a slow release drug delivery profile. The devices may take on the form of a surgical mesh with a slow release therapeutic drug.
SILICONE RUBBER COMPOSITION AND SILICONE RUBBER CROSS-LINKED BODY, AND INTEGRALLY MOLDED BODY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING INTEGRALLY MOLDED BODY
Provided is a silicone rubber composition that has excellent storage stability and an improved post-curing compression set, and a silicone rubber cross-linked body made from the silicone rubber composition. A silicone rubber composition contains (a) an organopolysiloxane, (b) a cross-linking agent, and (c) a microcapsule type catalyst that is made from resin microparticles encapsulating a cross-linking catalyst, wherein the resin of (c) is one of a thermosetting resin that is thermally cured in the presence of the cross-linking catalyst and a thermosetting resin that is thermally cured in the absence of the cross-linking catalyst.

SPINAL TRAINING SIMULATOR
A spinal training simulator kit with an operable module unit for surgical training is described. The spinal training simulator kit includes an anatomical base model of at least a portion of a spinal column and at least one high-fidelity module unit, the module unit comprising intervertebral disc analogues and vertebral segment analogues, and the module unit configured to fit within the base model in an anatomically correct orientation and location. The module unit may be acted upon, i.e. surgical instruments may be passed through, thus, providing a realistic simulator for surgical training.
MOBILE PLATFORMS FOR PERFORMING OPERATIONS ALONG AN EXTERIOR OF A FUSELAGE ASSEMBLY
A method and apparatus for performing an assembly operation. A tool may be macro-positioned relative to an exterior of a fuselage assembly. The tool may be micro-positioned relative to a particular location on the exterior of the fuselage assembly. An end effector is removably associated with an external robotic device associated with an external mobile platform. The tool is removably associated with the end effector. An assembly operation may be performed at the particular location on the panel using the tool.
Imprint apparatus and imprint method, and article manufacturing method
An imprint apparatus is provided with: an application unit; a substrate holding unit including an auxiliary plate; a gas supply unit including multiple supply outlets, which supplies gas to an interstice between a mold and a substrate, in conjunction with movement of a shot region by driving of the substrate holding unit from an application position of the application unit to a pressing position where pressing is conducted, when pressing the mold against an uncured resin applied to the shot region; and a controller which selects a supply outlet to supply the gas so that the supply outlet that supplies the gas among the multiple supply outlets is opposed by either the substrate or the auxiliary plate, while the shot region to which the uncured resin was applied is moved toward the pressing position, and which controls a direction of movement of the shot region.
