COMPOSITE LAMINATE TOOLING AND METHOD OF FORMING A COMPOSITE PART USING THE TOOLING
A composite piece tool used to create a composite piece. The tool includes a substrate having a substrate surface, walls disposed on the substrate and extending from the substrate surface in a thickness direction of the composite piece to define opposite locations of longitudinal composite piece ends and composite piece sides, a tooling surface disposed to occupy an entirety of a space delimited by the walls and on which the composite piece formed and a servo controller coupled to the tooling surface and configured to move the tooling surface upwardly and downwardly relative to the substrate surface and walls to form the composite piece.

FLEXIBLE AND TRANSPARENT POLYIMIDE LAMINATE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to a flexible and transparent polyimide laminate and manufacturing method thereof. The flexible and transparent polyimide laminate comprises a conductive layer, an adhesive layer and a polyimide substrate. The conductive layer includes a plurality of metal nanowires, and is attached on the polyimide substrate by the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is an insoluble polyimide film and is polymerized by aromatic dianhydride and one of the following monomer: alicyclic diamines, fluorine-containing diamines, and the combination thereof.
Removable fluid barrier
A removable fluid barrier comprises a generally planar flexible body fabricated of at least one resilient material and encapsulating a plurality of permanent magnets. The flexible body has an outer face defining a sealing surface of the removable fluid barrier.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A COMPOSITE PART AND USE THEREOF
For manufacturing composite parts (1) having an inner hollow moulded body (2) with openings (3), which are accessible from outside, the moulded body is introduced into a moulding tool on the mould walls on which a shell layer (11) was applied. The hollow space between the moulded body (2) and the shell layer (11) is filled with a thermally insulating plastic foam (12) which is foamed in the moulding tool and bonds to the moulded body and the shell layer. After removal, a moulded body is provided, which has a qualitatively good surface formed by the shell layer. Such a composite part is preferably used for connecting thermally insulating pipes.
SURGICAL TRAINING PHANTOM WITH SPECTROSCOPICALLY DISTINCT REGIONS
The present disclosure discloses anatomical phantoms having one or more distinct regions spectroscopically differentiated from each other by inclusion of spectroscopically active components each having a distinct fluorescence/emission/scattering spectrum. The distinct regions may represent different anatomical components of the corresponding real anatomical part and/or tumor mimics (or other diseased tissue) and different anatomical components of the corresponding real anatomical part, or just tumor mimics and a remainder of the anatomical part. The spectroscopically active materials may be dyes such as the cyanine dyes, or spectroscopically active nanoparticles.

Method for manufacturing thermoplastic synthetic resin products
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a thermoplastic synthetic resin product, including preparing a mold having a cavity formed in a predetermined shape; filling the cavity of the mold with a thermoplastic synthetic resin material in an amount greater than the volume of the cavity of the mold; heating the mold under pressure; releasing the pressure when the thermoplastic synthetic resin material charged in the cavity of the mold is melted by heating, and opening the mold; removing, of the melted thermoplastic synthetic resin material in the opened mold, the material other than the material charged in the cavity of the mold; placing either a fabric or a hot melt on the mold having the cavity filled with the thermoplastic synthetic resin material; and cooling the mold under pressure, thus integrating either the fabric or the hot melt with the thermoplastic synthetic resin material in contact with either the fabric or the hot melt.
HUMAN TISSUE MODELS, MATERIALS, AND METHODS
Devices, systems, and methods appropriate for use in medical training that include materials that better mimic natural human tissue are disclosed. In one aspect, multi-layer tissue simulations are provided. In another aspect, male genitalia models are provided. In another aspect, abdominal surgical wall inserts are provided. Systems and methods associated with these devices are also provided.
Flexible Endoscope and Methods of Making Same
An endoscope includes a handle connected to a flexible, steerable, kink-resistant insertion tube. An endoscope insertion tube may include a shaft, a lower durometer section proximate to a distal end of the shaft, and a higher durometer section positioned between the lower durometer section and a medium durometer section. The endoscope insertion tube may further include a fourth thermoplastic laminate section proximate to a proximal end of the shaft and having a higher durometer. A method of making an endoscope insertion tube may include inserting a mandrel with one, two, or more lateral slots and a liner into a shaft, wherein the liner is positioned between the mandrel and the shaft, bonding a bonded portion of the liner to an inner surface of the shaft, separating other portion(s) of the liner from the shaft, and inserting a first deflection wire in a gap between the shaft and the unbonded portion(s) of the liner.
