Pure Layered Stretch Film Produced Using Single Pass Extrusion Resins
Methods for producing a stretch film are provided, including disposing one or more extruders in fluid communication with a stock of virgin resin; heating the virgin resin to a molten state; delivering the molten virgin resin to a die; and extruding the molten virgin resin through the die onto a casting roll, thereby creating a cast stretch film. Methods for delivering the molten virgin resin onto a casting roll of varying sizes and set temperatures; and of moving a resulting film onto a secondary chill roll of varying sizes and set temperatures, are also provided. Finally, methods for moving the film from either the casting roll or the secondary chill roll onto a slitting assembly, dividing the film using one more interior or exterior slits, and then capturing and gathering the trim waste but not reintroducing the trim waste back into the production process are also disclosed.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SPRAYING COLOR INTO CRACKS OF A MOVING FORMED QUARTZ SLAB TO CREATE VEINS IN AN ENGINEERED STONE
An apparatus including a first device which moves a first portion of a soft, damp, slightly pressed slab out of alignment with a majority of the slab and thus introduces a first crack in the slab; and a device for spraying a first colored material into the first crack of the slab. The first device which moves the first portion of the slab out of alignment with the rest of the slab may include a first cylinder. The device for spraying the first colored material in the first crack of the slab may include a robotic apparatus. In at least one embodiment, the apparatus may also include a second device which moves a second portion of the slab out of alignment with the majority of the slab and thereby introduces a second crack in the slab.
MULTI-POLYMER GRIP MEMBER
A grip member and a method of making such a grip member including at least a polymerized region with two or more polymers. The first and second polymers cooperate to each form a portion of the top surface of the region. The region may be combined with a substrate to form a sheet. The sheet may be formed into a grip interface having any of a number of shapes including a panel shape. In the case of a panel shaped grip interface, the panel can then be attached to an underlisting sleeve to form the grip. Some versions of such a grip reduce impact shock and provide a feeling of tackiness in the manner of a spirally wrapped polyurethane-felt grip while allowing the use of multiple colors being polymerized together. The grip may be easily installed onto a golf club shaft and may further accommodate the use of polymers including various different characteristics including level of tackiness or durometer.

Concentrated aqueous silk fibroin solution and use thereof
The present invention provides for concentrated aqueous silk fibroin solutions and an all-aqueous mode for preparation of concentrated aqueous fibroin solutions that avoids the use of organic solvents, direct additives, or harsh chemicals. The invention further provides for the use of these solutions in production of materials, e.g., fibers, films, foams, meshes, scaffolds and hydrogels.
Mixed charge copolymers and hydrogels
Nonfouling copolymers and hydrogels comprising positively charged repeating units or latent positively charged repeating units and negatively charged units or latent positively charged units.
Apparatus and method for spraying color into cracks of a moving formed quartz slab to create veins in an engineered stone
An apparatus including a device which moves a first portion of a soft, damp, and/or wet slab out of alignment with a majority of the slab and thus introduces a first crack in the slab; and a device for spraying a first colored material into the first crack of the slab. The device which moves the first portion of the slab out of alignment with the rest of the slab may include a first lift bar. The device for spraying the first colored material in the first crack of the slab may include a first spray bar having a plurality of nozzles fixed thereto, arranged in a substantially straight line. In at least one embodiment, the apparatus may also include a device which moves a second portion of the slab out of alignment with the majority of the slab and thereby introduces a second crack in the slab.

Multilayer structure comprising a layer of supramolecular material and method for the production thereof
The invention relates to a multilayer structure comprising at least one layer of supramolecular material and one layer of rigid material, to a method for producing such a structure by casting a composition comprising a precursor of the supramolecular material, and to the uses of the structures produced, especially for applications where a dampening of impacts, vibrations and/or sound waves is desired, for example for producing locomotion vehicles such as automotive, rail, nautical, aeronautical or aerospace vehicles, or for the construction industry.
