CAP ASSEMBLY FOR A MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
This disclosure relates to a cap assembly for a medicament delivery device that has a cap body arranged to be connected to a medicament delivery device for protecting and for removing a medicament delivery member shield. The cap body has an inner cap structure defining a channel extending along the central axis of the cap body, and a gripping member configured to be received in the channel with a friction fit and to receive a medicament delivery member shield. The gripping member has a first leg, a second leg, and a transverse portion extending between the first leg and the second leg, which transverse portion defines the leading edge of the gripping member when received by the channel.
Data processing system for classifying keyed data representing inhaler device operation
A data processing system digitally processes data feeds of inhaler device operation. The data feed represents operation of an inhaler device. The system indexes the live data feed with a key value representing the inhaler device for which the live data feed is obtained. For a particular key value indexed in the in-memory data storage, the system queries, a data feed representing physical operation of an inhaler device, segments the live data feed for that particular key value into a plurality of data samples, process at least a portion of the data samples to classify each of the processed data samples; outputs a prompt specifying whether operation of the inhaler device is within a threshold range of operation. Audio data, temperature data, image data, and ranging data can be processed to classify operation of the inhaler device and the order of operations of the inhaler device.
Metering device for powder and method for metering powder
A metering device for the volumetric metering of powder, including pharmaceutical powder, and the simultaneous metering and filling of target cavities with metered powder, as well as a metering system and an associated method are shown. One embodiment of the metering device includes a metering station with a powder storage container, a filling station, and a movable metering member. The metering member has a flat transfer surface that includes metering cavities, which correspond in number and geometry to target cavities arranged in the filling station, and also to metering openings in the metering station. The metering cavities each have an open end and a base, wherein an air-permeable filter element forms at least a part of the base of each. The metering member includes a central pressure channel connected to the metering cavities through the filter elements for applying a negative or positive pressure to the metering cavities.
VAPORIZING UNIT WITH USE AUTHORIZATION
A personal vapor inhaling unit is disclosed. An electronic flameless vapor inhaler unit that may simulate a cigarette has a cavity that receives a cartridge in the distal end of the inhaler unit. The cartridge brings a substance to be vaporized in contact with a wick. When the unit is activated, and the user provides suction, the substance to be vaporized is drawn out of the cartridge, through the wick, and is atomized by the wick into a cavity containing a heating element. The heating element vaporizes the atomized substance. The vapors then continue to be pulled by the user through a mouthpiece and mouthpiece cover where they may be inhaled.
Portable Smart Air Quality Multisensory System Equipped Carrying Case for Asthma Inhalers
The present disclosure presents systems, apparatuses, and methods of evaluating air quality sensor data. In this regard, a method comprises receiving air quality sensor data from a plurality of portable smart air quality measurement system (SAQMS) communication devices from a plurality of citizens in a geographic location; receiving air quality sensor data from an air quality measurement and calibration (AQMC) station in the geographic location; determining a level of resolution for one or more sensors of a portable SAQMS communication device at a central evaluation and measurement service; correcting air quality data received from the portable SAQMS communication device to compensate for the determined level of resolution at the central evaluation and measurement service; and generating a map of air quality data based on at least the corrected air quality data of the portable SAQMS communication device and a plurality of other portable SAQMS communication devices.
Liquid storage assembly, atomizer and electronic cigarette having the same
A liquid storage assembly includes a liquid storage tube having a liquid storage chamber, a sealing member, an adjusting member, and a lower cover. The sealing member is received in the liquid storage tube and defines a second liquid intake hole fluidly communicating with the liquid storage chamber. The adjusting member is received in the liquid storage tube and is rotatable relative to the sealing member, the adjusting defines a communicating portion corresponding to the second liquid intake hole.
Methods and apparatus for passive, proportional, valveless gas sampling and delivery
A fluid dynamic valve passively allows fluid flow out of a moving stream in one flow direction and not in the reverse. This allows the collection of fluid from a single direction of an AC fluid flow. The siphoned portion of the flow has a flow rate proportional to the mainstream flow. This device can collect exhaled breath or selective entrenchment during inhale. In one orientation, it can meter aerosolized particles into an inhale breath stream for pulmonary delivery, without complicated breath timing or drug loss due to drug adsorption to the back of the throat. Alternatively, a user can breathe through the device and a proportional amount, relative to the volumetric flow rate, of each exhale can flow into an auxiliary chamber for analysis. In addition, the device has a low respiratory burden and is comfortable to use.
INHALER SYSTEM
Provided is a system (10) for determining a probability of an asthma exacerbation in a subject. The system comprises an inhaler (100) for delivering a rescue medicament to the subject. The inhaler has a use-detection system (12B) configured to determine a rescue inhalation performed by the subject using the first inhaler. A sensor system (12A) is configured to measure a parameter relating to airflow during the rescue inhalation. The system further comprises a processor (14) configured to determine a number of the rescue inhalations during a first time period, and receive the parameter measured for at least some of the rescue inhalations. The processor determines, using a weighted model, the probability of the asthma exacerbation based on the number of rescue inhalations and the parameters.
The model is weighted such that the number of rescue inhalations is more significant in the probability determination than the parameters.
RESPIRATORY INHALER CARTRIDGE PLACEMENT TRAINING DEVICE
In one embodiment, a resettable respiratory inhaler training device is provided herein. The resettable respiratory inhaler training device includes a device housing having an unlocked position and a locked position, the housing comprising a chamber; a cartridge for placement into the chamber, the cartridge comprising a body for insertion into the chamber and a base, said cartridge including a status indicator window to indicate a new or used cartridge, an aperture in the base and a shutter to selectively open or close the aperture; and a reset cap comprising a protrusion for interfacing with the aperture during reset of the device; wherein operation of the device changes the status indicator window from used to new to reset the cartridge for a subsequent use.
