Fiber-Based Microwave Bowls with Selective Spray Coating
Methods and apparatus for vacuum forming and subsequently applying topical coatings fiber-based food containers. The slurry includes one or more of an embedded moisture barrier, vapor barrier, and oil barrier, and the topical coating comprises one or more of a vapor barrier, a moisture barrier, an oil barrier, and an oxygen barrier. For food containers having deep sidewalls, a spray coating system includes a first nozzle for applying a full cone spray pattern to the bottom surface of the container, and a second nozzle for applying a hollow cone spray pattern to the inside surfaces of the side walls.
Method for manufacturing microscopic structural body
A method for manufacturing a molded product with fine structure includes steps of, in a temperature-controlled stamper mold provided with a fine structure including a concavo-convex pattern having a width of 10 nm to 1 μm, forming a thermoplastic molten polymer layer to be in contact with the fine structure 20 of the stamper mold having been kept at a predetermined temperature and holding the thermoplastic molten polymer layer for a predetermined time so as to transfer the fine structure of the stamper mold to the thermoplastic molten polymer layer under gravity.

EMBOSSED RELEASE FILM, VACUUM BAGGING SYSTEM, AND METHODS OF FABRICATING COMPOSITE PARTS USING THE SAME
An embossed release film for use in a vacuum bagging system during a process of curing a composite part includes a raised pattern defining an upper air pathway and a lower air pathway. The raised pattern defining the upper air pathway and the lower air pathway negates the need for a breather fabric that is included in conventional vacuum bagging systems. Providing a vacuum bagging system without a breather fabric simplifies the vacuum bagging system, satisfies lean manufacturing principles, and reduces cycle time, manufacturing cost, and waste.

Methods and apparatus for manufacturing fiber-based meat containers
Methods and apparatus for manufacturing a microwavable food container include: forming a wire mesh over a mold comprising a mirror image of the microwavable food container; immersing the wire mesh in a fiber-based slurry bath; drawing a vacuum across the wire mesh to cause fiber particles to accumulate at the wire mesh surface; and removing the wire mesh including the accumulated fiber particles from the slurry bath; wherein the slurry comprises a moisture barrier, an oil barrier, and a vapor barrier.

METHOD FOR FORMING AN ARTICLE COMPRISING A PATHWAY OF PARTICLES WHEREIN A TERMINATION OF THE PATHWAY OF PARTICLES EXPOSED
The invention relates to a method for forming an article comprising a pathway of particles wherein a termination of the pathway of particles is exposed. The method comprises arranging the particles by applying an electric field and/or a magnetic field at an interface between a water soluble or a non-water soluble matrix and a matrix comprising a viscous material and particles. After fixating the viscous material, the termination is exposed by dissolving the water soluble or non-water soluble matrix. The invention also relates to articles obtainable by said method, and to the use of said method in various applications.
