Method for producing a gasket on a component and shaping tool for use in such a method
The invention relates to a method for producing a gasket on a component using a shaping tool, wherein the material used for the gasket is a UV-curable sealing or gasket material, and wherein the shaping tool comprises an upper face and a lower face and at least one cavity which is open toward the lower face of the shaping tool and which is provided for filling with the gasket material, and wherein furthermore the shaping tool is made of a UV-transparent material at least in the region of the cavity, comprising the following steps in the order indicated: 1. introducing the gasket material into the cavity of the shaping tool; 2. placing the component onto the lower face of the tool provided with the gasket material; 3. pressing the component onto the tool; 4. curing the gasket material by way of UV irradiation; and 5. removing the tool from the component and the gasket joined thereto. The invention further relates to a shaping tool for use in such a method.
MOLDED TOOL AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
An improved molded tool formed from a compression mold material and corresponding method of manufacture is disclosed. The molded tool has a first end, a second end separated from the first end by a sidewall formed from a heat-sensitive polymeric matrix. The sidewall has an interior surface with a first strength and an exterior surface with a second strength, the first strength being greater than the second strength. Further, the molded tool is formed by a method that includes exerting an expansive force within an interior of the compression mold material, the expansive force having a directional vector along the central axis.
System and Method of Manufacturing Dialysis Catheters
Disclosed is a system and method for splitting dual lumens using hot stamping. The system includes a die assembly having a heated die with a septum that is configured to split the dual lumen to form a split catheter by splitting the septum of the dual lumen. The die can receive a pair of mandrels therethrough, wherein the mandrels are configured to support a dual lumen loaded thereon. The dual lumen and the mandrels are pushed via a block into the die until the dual lumen passes through the septum within the die and two lumens are fully formed. The lumens are cooled with an air blast and the mandrels are removed after the lumens are cooled.
Flexible grip for a golf club and method of making same
A flexible grip of elastomeric material for a golf club is disclosed. The grip has a groove or pocket therealong on the inner surface and an aperture through the closed end of the grip coincident with the groove. Upon installation of the grip onto the club shaft, a rigid strip is inserted through the aperture and into the groove or pocket. The thickness of the strip is chosen to cause a raising of the outer surface of the grip to form a rib therealong. The interior groove or pocket is formed by a rib formed on a core or mandrel employed in molding of the grip. Upon removal of the mandrel after molding, the groove or pocket and aperture are left in the grip for receiving the rigid strip.
INLET DUCT FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An inlet duct for an internal combustion engine includes a duct member made of a compression molded fiber material. The duct member includes a main body and end portions provided on opposite sides in an axial direction of the main body. The main body includes at least one high-compression portion and at least one low-compression portion, which is made through compression molding at a compression ratio lower than that of the at least one high-compression portion. The at least one low-compression portion extends throughout a length in the axial direction of the main body.
ERGONOMIC SILICONE WEDDING RING
The present invention is an ergonomic silicone wedding ring comprising of 3 bands which are designed not to separate easily and are thinner, more ergonomic and comfortable than prior silicone tri-band rings.
SPIRAL WOUND GASKET
A spiral wound gasket includes a resilient sealing element including spirally wound, alternating layers of metal banding and winding fill material that incorporates a significant quantity of talc with quantities of fiber and binder. Either or both of an outer guide ring and inner guide ring may extend from peripheral outer and inner surfaces of the sealing element. Embodiments of the gasket overlay one or both axial faces of the sealing element with a layer facing material that incorporates a significant quantity of talc with quantities of fiber and binder.
PROCESSING DEVICE OF A MAKEUP PRODUCT, AND MAKEUP PRODUCT OBTAINED BY MEANS OF SAID DEVICE
Processing device of a makeup product comprising: a first plate provided with first mutually adjacent channels with parallel axes, of semicircle section, and a second plate provided with second mutually adjacent channels with parallel axes, also of semicircle section, the first and the second channels being configured such that, when the first plate and the second plate are overlapped with their respective channels facing each other, each pair of first and second channels forms a tubular element with circular section; the device having guides configured to allow the movement of a plate relative to the other, in a direction parallel with respect to the axes of the channels; and at least one movement system of a plate relative to the other.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MAKING A DOUBLE-TOOTHED BELT
A device for making a double-sided toothed belt has an inner mold having teeth and an outer mold. The outer mold includes segments arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the inner mold and mutually adjacent. The device has a force transmission element arranged on the radial outer side of the segments. A pressure vessel has a cylindrical wall surrounding the force transmission element. The force transmission element is formed as a bellows fastened with two ends in pressure-tight fashion to the pressure vessel. The force transmission element is arranged in a ring-shaped space formed between the wall of the pressure vessel and the radial outer side of the segments. The pressure vessel has a pressure medium bore which opens into the ring-shaped space radially outside the force transmission element. The segments and the inner mold each have one axial passage bore through which fluid can be conducted.
COMPRESSION MOLDED SILICONE RING
A method of manufacturing a silicone ring consisting of two outer-band halves formed by compression silicone-molding in a first mold and an inner-band formed by placing half of the outer-bands of the ring in a second mold, placing a spacer-insert mold over the second mold, inserting a silicone rubber in the cavities of a spacer-insert mold, inserting the remaining outer-band halves into a fourth mold, inserting the three molds into a compression chamber to vulcanize the outer-band halves and the inner-band together, wherein the first and second outer-bands form a complete ring, and a symmetrical inner-band is formed in between the first and second outer-band halves.
