The device comprises two flexible substrates and a membrane located between the two flexible substrates, and the two flexible substrates being connected at two opposing edges and unconnected at two further opposing edges. An active agent provided on the membrane may be inhaled by a user when the device is in the second configuration.

DEVICE FOR DISPENSING A FLUID PRODUCT

Device for dispensing a fluid product having a body (1) and dispensing head (2) provided with a dispensing opening (3) and axially movable with respect to the body (1) during actuation. The body (1) accommodates a reservoir (10) containing one or two doses of fluid product. The device has an electronic module (100) with a wireless communication module (101), a geographical location module (102), and a power source (103). The device has a system of sensors (200, 201, 202) for detecting and signaling, automatically, an attempt to actuate the device, when a first sensor (200) is activated. The wireless communication module (101) is adapted to make an automatic emergency call to an emergency number when the sensor system detects an attempt to actuate the. The first sensor is activated when it detects an actuation force greater than 5N or 10N.

Cartridge with a heater assembly for an aerosol-generating system

An aerosol-generating system including a cartridge is provided, the cartridge including a liquid storage portion including a housing configured to hold a liquid aerosol-forming substrate, the housing having an opening; and a heater assembly including at least one heater element fixed to the housing and extending across an opening of the housing, wherein a width of the at least one heater element of the heater assembly is smaller than a width of the opening of the housing. The heater element may be spaced from a periphery of the opening, leading to more efficient heating and aerosol production.

KITS FOR MANUFACTURING INHALABLE FORMULATIONS OF MEDICINAL CANNABIS COMPOUNDS FOR AEROSOL DEVICES, APPARATUSES, AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING THE SAME
20230346870 · 2023-11-02 ·

Kits enabling an end user to efficiently compound inhalable formulations containing medicinal compounds, for use in in aerosol device (e-cigarette; personal vaporizer). Kits include a reusable storage device, a filling station, at least one predetermined amount aerosol precursor in a container and at least one empty cartomizer (cartridge) for use in an aerosol delivery device. Optionally, kits may also include a predetermined amount of extract containing a known amount of medicinal compound, enabling the production of an amount an inhalable formulation. Optionally, kits may contain amounts of inputs that enable the refilling/reuse of cartridges.

INHALATION DEVICE

The present invention provides for the integration of drug dispersion methods into a drug or medicine delivery system. The drug dispersion methods used include shear (e.g., air across a drug, with or without a gas assist), capillary flow or a venturi effect, mechanical means such as spinning, vibration, or impaction, and turbulence (e.g., using mesh screens, or restrictions in the air path). These methods of drug dispersion allow for all of the drug in the system to be released, allowing control of the dosage size. These methods also provide for drug metering, fluidization, entrainment, deaggragation and deagglomeration. The present invention also provides for the integration of a drug sealing system into the device. The drug sealing system provides a way of blocking the migration of drug from one area of the package to another. The drug seal system can also provide a method of tightly containing the drug until the package is opened, of directing airflow through the package and of managing and containing the drug during the package/device manufacturing process.

INTRANASAL DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC OPIOID OVERDOSE DETECTION AND NALOXONE DELIVERY
20230338676 · 2023-10-26 ·

A wearable-intranasal device for opioid overdose detection via overdose-associated increases of carbon dioxide in exhaled breath, and automatic delivery of naloxone in response. The device comprises a wearable nasal clip with drug reservoir(s) containing naloxone, and a CO.sub.2-sensitive hydrogel occluding or encapsulating the naloxone. The hydrogel transitions from a solid state to a liquid or gas state when exposed to an increase in CO.sub.2, thereby unblocking the drug reservoir(s) and releasing naloxone. The device provides a novel disposable, stimuli-responsive, naloxone delivery system, designed to trigger automatically in response to physical symptoms of an overdose without the need for bystander intervention.
