Aspects disclosed herein relate to forming on a substrate fastener elements suitable for use in touch fastener by employing vibration forming methods. The processes described provide for a greater flexibility in manufacturing than prior methods and overcome certain limitations in prior forming techniques. Further, the product made can embody a variety of different configurations suitable for a given application. Employing vibration forming methods, such ultrasonic forming methods, allows for the use of a wider variety of substrate material than materials used with convention methods of touch fastener formation.

Enthalpy exchanger element, enthalpy exchanger comprising such elements and method for their production

The present invention provides enthalpy exchanger elements (E, E′, PR, PF) and enthalpy exchangers comprising such elements. Furthermore, the invention discloses a method for producing such enthalpy exchanger elements and enthalpy exchangers, comprising the steps of a) providing an air-permeable sheet element (1); b) laminating at least one side (1a, 1b) of the sheet element (1) with a thin polymer film (3, 4) with water vapor transmission characteristics; and c) forming the laminated sheet element (1) into a desired shape exhibiting a three-dimensional corrugation pattern (5, 5, . . . ).

METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING AN EMBOSSED STRUCTURE TO THE SURFACE OF A COATING AND COMPOUND STRUCTURE CONTAINING SAID COATING

The present disclosure relates to a method for transferring an embossed structure to at least a part of a surface of a coating (B2), using a composite (F1B1) composed of a substrate (F1) and of an at least partially embossed and at least partially cured coating (B1), where the coating (B2) and the coating (B1) of the composite (F1B1) have embossed structures which are mirror images of one another. Also described herein is a composite (B2B1F1). Further described herein is a use of this composite for producing an at least partially embossed coating (B2) in the form of a free film or a composite (B2KF2) composed of a substrate (F2), at least one adhesive (K), and the coating (B2).

This molded surface fastener includes: a base portion; right and left outer wall portions arranged on the upper surfaces of the base portion; a plurality of engaging elements arranged between the right and left outer wall portions; and right and left magnetic wall portions arranged between the outer wall portions and the engaging elements. This molded surface fastener is molded by melting and integrating first synthetic resin and second synthetic resin that contains magnetic particles. At least each upper end part of the outer wall portions is formed only of the first synthetic resin, while at least each upper end part of the magnetic wall portions is formed only of the second synthetic resin. Consequently, the right and left magnetic wall portions can be formed into predetermined shapes in a stable manner.

TOPSHEETS INTEGRATED WITH HETEROGENOUS MASS LAYER

An absorbent article and method of making the absorbent article are disclosed. The absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core structure having one or more layers wherein at least one layer is a heterogeneous mass layer, wherein the topsheet and the heterogeneous mass are integrated such that they reside in the same X-Y plane.

Arrays of male fastener elements are formed by molding preforms in cavities defined in one or more adjacent plates and shaped to mold preform arms that extend to a plate side, such as in a cross-machine direction of a continuous molding process. The preforms may be deformed to flatten their upper surfaces and lengthen the arms. Stems of preforms have molded side surfaces and each have width, measured in the longitudinal direction of the strip, that narrows with distance from the strip surface, and also narrows with distance from a parting line extending from the strip surface to the head between the arms.

Mower cord and manufacturing method for mower cord

The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for a mower cord and includes pressing a resin wire rod and plastically deforming at least part of the wire rod in an axis perpendicular direction. Work-hardening of a surface of the plastically deformed portion allows dramatic enhancement of mowing efficiency.
