Inhalable formulation of fluticasone propionate and albuterol sulfate
This invention relates to a fixed-dose dry powder inhalation formulation comprising fluticasone propionate and albuterol sulfate, together with an α-lactose monohydrate carrier. In the formulation, the albuterol sulfate stabilises fluticasone propionate.
INHALATION DEVICE SYSTEM
The invention provides an inhalation device system for the in-halative administration of a medically active liquid in nebulized form, the system comprising an inhalation device and an exchangeable reservoir for holding the medically active liquid, wherein the inhalation device comprises - a housing having a receiving unit, the receiving unit having a connection unit adapted to releasably and fluidically connect to a connection port of the exchangeable reservoir, the receiving unit being adapted to receive and fluidically connect to the exchangeable reservoir; - a nozzle for nebulization of the medically active liquid; and - a pumping unit arranged within the housing and adapted to be fluidically connected to the reservoir (via the connection unit of the receiving unit) and to the nozzle and being adapted to convey (pressurize, pump) the medically active liquid in a downstream direction from the reservoir to the nozzle.
PORTABLE NEBULIZER AND VERTICAL-TYPE MEDICINE CONTAINING AND NEBULIZING ASSEMBLY THEREOF
A portable nebulizer and a vertical-type medicine containing and nebulizing assembly thereof are provided. The vertical-type medicine containing and nebulizing assembly includes a medicine storage module, a nebulizing module and an induction module. The nebulizing module includes a nebulizing device and a first conductive structure. The induction module includes a metal induction element disposed in the medicine storage module and a second conductive structure electrically connected to the metal induction element. The medicine storage casing has an inner surrounding area located in the medicine storage space. The metal induction element has an exposed induction portion exposed on the inner surrounding area for receiving a signal generated by the nebulizing device. Therefore, when a predetermined medicinal liquid contained in the medicine storage space is nebulized through the nebulizing device, the signal generated by the nebulizing device can be transmitted to a microprocessor through the induction module.
DRY POWDER DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHODS
A pulmonary drug delivery system is disclosed, including a breath-powered, dry powder inhaler, with or without a cartridge for delivering a dry powder formulation. The inhaler and cartridge can be provided with a drug delivery formulation comprising, for example, a diketopiperazine and an active ingredient, including, small organic molecules, peptides and proteins, including, hormones such as insulin and glucagon-like peptide 1 for the treatment of disease and disorders, for example, diseases and disorders, including endocrine disease such as diabetes and/or obesity.
NEBULIZER FOR INFANTS AND RESPIRATORY COMPROMISED PATIENTS
An inhaler for dispensing a pharmaceutical to infants and respiratory compromised patients is disclosed.
Medicament delivery devices
A medicament delivery device (1) comprises an actuation mechanism by successive operation of which a predetermined number of unit doses of medicament can be dispensed. The device includes a locking mechanism for preventing further operation of the actuation mechanism after dispensing of said predetermined number of unit doses. The locking mechanism comprises a resilient member (51), a formation (18) with which the resilient member (51) is engageable to disable operation of the actuation mechanism, and a barrier member (20) that prevents engagement of the resilient member (51) and the formation (18) until said predetermined number of unit doses has been dispensed. The device (1) may be a dry powder inhaler.
Assembly for a Drug Delivery Device
The present disclosure concerns an assembly for a drug delivery device (1)comprising a housing (3), a first abutment surface (64), a second abutment surface (21), and a detachable member (7) which is detachable from the housing (3) and attachable to the housing (3), wherein the assembly is configured such that, during detachment of the detachable member (7) from the housing (3) for an Nth time, N being a predetermined number, the first abutment surface (64) is brought into abutment with the second abutment surface (21), wherein the assembly is configured such that, when the first abutment surface (64) abuts with the second abutment surface (21), the detachable member (7) is enabled to be reattached to the housing (3) and, afterwards, the detachable member (7) is prevented from being detached from the housing (3).
INHALER
An inhaler comprises a housing, an air channel extending between at least one air inlet opening and a suction opening in the housing, a dispensing element for vaporizing or nebulizing liquid supplied to the dispensing element for admixing with air flowing in the air channel, an electronic control device, an electronic data memory, and a sensor system comprising a flow measuring device for measuring the volumetric and/or mass flow of air flowing through the air channel. The electronic control device is adapted to capture a plurality of airflow measurement values over at least a portion of the duration of an inhalation puff by means of the flow measurement device, compare the plurality of airflow measurement values to a puff profile stored in the data memory, and output a control signal based on the comparison of the plurality of airflow measurement values to the stored puff profile.
A Respirator Adapter and Auxiliary Part Thereof
Present invention is related to a ventilator adapter and auxiliary chamber thereof. The ventilator adapter of the present invention comprises a T-shaped flow guiding adapter and an auxiliary chamber detachably connected thereto. The T-shaped flow guiding adapter contains a guiding valve that can retractably close or open its opening. The auxiliary chamber is a cylindrical hollow tubing with open ends at both sides, and a chamber partition extended into the interior of the auxiliary chamber, separating the chamber at least partially into two chambers. The present invention is able to be adapted with the conventional ventilator pipeline by using the T-shaped flow guiding adapter for connecting any suitable ventilatory medicine with the auxiliary cavity. When the ventilatory medicine is administrated, the present invention is able to guide the gas flow within the ventilator pipeline reaching into the space of the auxiliary cavity and carrying the ventilatory medicine toward the patient successfully with high amount of medicine doses for better treatment result.
Dispensing device and pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of rhinitis
A nasal dispensing device and pharmaceutical composition includes a container; a dispenser head having at least a pump, a dispensing channel, and a dispensing orifice; a dip tube; and a pharmaceutical composition comprising mometasone, an ester thereof (e.g., mometasone furoate), or a salt thereof and olopatadine or its salt (e.g., olopatadine hydrochloride). The container can have a conically shaped internal bottom, angled downwardly toward a center, and a further angularly deepened well, centrally located, with the dip tube extending into the well. An optional cap is provided that includes a sealing sleeve communicating in a seal tight manner with a perimeter of a lateral wall of the dispenser head.
