PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A GASEOUS ACTIVE INGREDIENT OR A GASEOUS ACTIVE INGREDIENT MIXTURE, KIT FOR USE THEREIN AND GASEOUS COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a kit comprising: a) a bag having an outlet, the outlet being closable and openable; b) a solid and/or liquid active agent precursor; and c) means for releasing a gaseous active agent or a gaseous active agent mixture from the active agent precursor; a method for producing a gaseous active agent or a gaseous active agent mixture comprising the steps: a) providing the kit; b) providing the solid and/or liquid active ingredient precursor in the bag; and c) releasing the gaseous active ingredient or the gaseous active ingredient mixture from the solid and/or liquid active ingredient precursor with the aid of the means for releasing a gaseous active ingredient or a gaseous active ingredient mixture, and a gaseous composition obtainable by the process.
Collapsible, disposable medication inhalation spacer and method
A medication inhalation apparatus includes an outer housing, movable between collapsed and expanded states, encompassing a first volume. An inner housing within the outer housing encompasses an inner volume. An inhaler opening to the first volume is within a wall of the outer housing at a first location. A mouth opening to the inner volume is within a wall of the outer housing and the inner housing at a second location. A one-way inhalation valve connecting the first volume and the inner volume is within a wall of the inner housing. A one-way exhalation valve connecting the inner volume and the exterior of the outer housing is within a wall of the outer housing and inner housing at a third location. In the expanded state, gas flows from the inhaler to the first volume, the first volume to the inner volume, and the inner volume to a user's mouth.
DRY POWDER INHALER AND SYSTEM FOR DRUG DELIVERY
A breath-powered, dry powder inhaler, a cartridge, and a pulmonary drug delivery system are provided.
VACCINE ADMINISTRATION APPARATUS AND SINGLE DOSE CHAMBERS
A single dose aerosol chamber is used with a dispensing apparatus by users to take a chamber, fill the chamber with an aerosolized vaccine, and dispose of used chambers. A display provides instructions to encourage prompt inhalation by the user from a dispensed and filled chamber. The station allows very fast administration of vaccines to large numbers of people. The aerosol dispenser apparatus detects the chamber is in correct position and delivers a pre-determined dose of aerosol. The chamber has a nebulizer delivery port optimized for delivery of aerosol into the chamber container and to act as a vent during inhalation via the inhalation port.
TESTING METHOD FOR A DRY POWDER INHALER
The invention provides a method of testing an inhaler based on performing an optical analysis of a dry powder medicament plume discharged from the inhaler upon actuation. More particularly, embodiments of the invention comprise illuminating the dry powder plume with a source of electromagnetic radiation and capturing one or more images of a pattern of radiation reflected or diffracted by the illuminated plume. The images are subsequently processed to determine and/or analyse one or more geometric and/or dynamic characteristics of the plume.

THERAPEUTIC DEVICE FOR TREATMENT OF CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE SINUSES, NASAL CAVITIES, EAR, NOSE AND THROAT
A therapeutic device for treating one or more conditions associated with a user's nasal cavities, sinuses, and/or ear canals includes a vibration generator having an acoustic device operable to provide a sound; a seal configured to cover a nose, but not a mouth, of the user to form an air-tight chamber around the nose of the user; the vibration generator disposed in a housing connected to the seal; and a stand extending from the housing and including a ball bearing and a seat on which the ball bearing may rest, the stand including a hollow member and an orifice, the orifice disposed in the seat. The vibration generator provides the sound directly to the nose of the user. A positive pressure is created in the air-tight chamber when the user exhales, the positive pressure generating a lift force to lift the ball bearing from the seat.
Single-serve smoking system, devices, kit, and methods
A method of making a prepackaged, combustible unit of a plant based material for use in an inhalation system, metered dose inhaler, or dry powder inhaler. The method includes creating and shaping a combustible material packaging by processing leaves or plant fibers into a fibrous sheet, steaming the fibrous sheet, and using a female mold and a corresponding male mold to shape the combustible material packaging. The method further discloses filling pockets disposed within the combustible material packaging with the combustible material and sealing the combustible material packaging around the combustible material to create a prepackaged, combustible unit. Additional embodiments include various inhalation devices, inhalation systems, kits having instruction as to using the inhalation device, and methods of making the prepackaged combustible unit, and methods for using the inhalation devices.
Therapeutic vaporizer
A therapeutic vaporizer is disclosed having two or more housing portions configured to form an inner cavity. The housing portions are movable between an open and closed position, such that at least a portion of the inner cavity is enclosed when the housing portions are in the closed position. The vaporizer includes at least one accessory-receiving element configured to receive at least one accessory within the inner cavity when the housing portions are in the closed position.
