The flat element has a horizontal plane disposed perpendicularly to a symmetry plane of the flat element. The flat element includes at least two layers. The first layer includes a substrate and a second layer includes at least one layer of a material impregnated with one or more volatile substances. The at least one layer of the material impregnated with the one or more volatile substances is fixed on the substrate.

RESPIRATORY INTERFACE
20210236758 · 2021-08-05 · ·

A patient respiratory interface for use in an aerosol delivery system is disclosed. The interface may provide a mechanism for introducing an aerosolized medicament to infants without the need for invasive intubation when treating issues in infants such as infant respiratory distress syndrome. The interface may include an outer body formed in the shape of a pacifier where the insertion portion of the pacifier may be hollow and have an opening to guide a catheter or other tubing that may be passed through a flange and the insertion portion of the interface. The catheter may be recessed from or extend slightly out of the tip of the insertion portion so that a flow of nebulized medicament may be delivered to the patient's oropharynx in aerosol form.

Aromatherapy vaporization device

A vaporization device includes a housing, a fluid pathway extending through the housing, a heating chamber with a heating element proximate a first housing end, a control circuit and a battery disposed within the housing. The heating chamber is in fluid communication with the fluid pathway. The first chamber end is open and the second chamber end includes a closed end with one or more vents. The heating element is operable to generate heat at a predetermined vaporization temperature. The control circuit has a switch operable to control a flow of current from the battery to the heating element. In use, the predetermined vaporization temperature is sufficient to vaporize phyto material in contact with the heat at the predetermined vaporization temperature to emit a vapor. Inhaling from the second housing end draws mixed vapor and air through the fluid pathway.

MIXING CHANNEL FOR AN INHALATION DEVICE AND INHALATION DEVICE

The invention relates to a mixing channel for an inhalation device, and in particular to a mixing channel with improved injection and mixing properties for injecting and mixing a liquid drug into an air flow streaming in the mixing channel, thereby producing an aerosol to be inhaled by a patient. One aspect of the invention relates to a mixing channel for an inhalation device, comprising an inlet opening, an outlet opening, and an injection zone located between the inlet opening and the outlet opening, wherein the injection zone has a longitudinal center axis, wherein the injection zone comprises (a) a built-in nebulizer, or (b) a detachable nebulizer, or (c) a member adapted to receive a detachable nebulizer, wherein the effective cross sectional area of the mixing channel in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis is smaller in the injection zone than upstream of the injection zone.

MEDICATION DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH MASK

A medication delivery system having a holding chamber capable of delivering dosages of medicament from a metered dose inhaler. The holding chamber includes an actuator detector, flow detector and display. In another embodiment, a medication delivery system includes a holding chamber having an input and an output end, a metered dose inhaler operably coupled to the input end of the holding chamber, and a metered dose inhaler identifier associated with the holding chamber and operable to identify the metered dose inhaler coupled to the holding chamber.

BREATH MEASUREMENT DEVICE

An inhalation interface may monitor and analyze flow rate in an inhalation device. The inhalation interface may be calibrated for a user. The inhalation interface may send usage data to a user for review. In some embodiments the inhalation interface may send usage data to a physician and provide active feedback to a patient. The active feedback may indicate when the flow rate during an inhalation is within a target threshold.

Incentive spirometer
11045112 · 2021-06-29 ·

A respiratory therapy device that is adapted to matingly connect with two standardized respiratory devices simultaneously to allow for combination, enhanced, single device, respiratory treatments. It monitors the number of PEP treatment events utilizing a motion sensor, and presents a resettable, visual stimulus for each event as well as providing a record of the events in each therapy cycle.

Bidirectional Incentive Spirometer
20210282664 · 2021-09-16 ·

A respiratory therapy device that is adapted to matingly, frictionally connect with dimensionally standardized devices and device adaptors, that when combined, allow for respiratory treatments. It monitors the direction of the air and or medicament flow (gases) in the device and can visually report as well as record the number of PEP treatment events or the number of medicament administrations by utilizing at least one bidirectional motion sensor therein. It presents a resettable, visual indicator for each pulse of gas that passes along its interior passage as well as providing a stored and transmittable record of these pulmonary events. It has an energy saving mode that will only allow the unit to be powered for operation when it is being handled.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SENSING USAGE OF A CONTROLLED MEDICAL THERAPY DEVICE

A nasal spray device can include housing having a sensor and a nozzle having a housing interface with a graphical image thereon. The sensor can be configured to sense movement of the graphical image when the nozzle moves relative to the housing, for instance during administration of medicine from the nasal spray device. The sensor can include an infrared proximity sensor that senses infrared reflectivity from the graphical image. The infrared proximity sensor can also be used to measure distance to a surface of a vial within the housing to thereby detect insertion of the vial into the housing.
