Method of molding foam articles
A method of making molded foam articles and the articles produced. A molded foam article is produced by heating or preheating the mold to a temperature at or above the glass transition or melt temperature of the particles to be molded. Foamed particles are then introduced into the mold. The particle filled mold is then subjected to a vacuum to stabilize the molded article, without application of any additional heating or cooling. The molded article is then removed from the mold at a temperature at or below the glass transition temperature of the particles, and the cycle repeated to form multiple molded articles.
Sub-ambient pressure morphology control process for use in molding extruded polymer foams, and parts produced therefrom
A method of sub-ambient pressure processing of blow-molded polymer foams and skin-over-foam sandwich panel configurations for lightweight components having improved structural properties. The method can create either skinned or un-skinned foams that offer smooth interior and exterior surfaces, zero or controlled surface porosity, skins of pre-defined thickness, and foam cells that are expanded and oriented normal to the material plane, effectively spherical or polyhedral in nature, and offering improved bending and compressive strength.
Intra-mode moulding foam molding device of thermoplastic polymer particle and molding method for same
An intra-mode moulding foam molding device of thermoplastic polymer particles and a molding method thereof. The device includes a supercritical fluid delivery system, a mould pressing foaming system, a preheating quantitative feeding system and a moving rail; the supercritical fluid delivery system communicates with the mould pressing foaming system. Through a one-step foam molding method of polymer particles, polymer particles can be directly added into a molding cavity without pre-foaming, water and anti-sticking separating agent are not needed; the molding process does not need high-pressure water vapor for warming and molding, and has great adhesion force and is also clean, therefore polymer materials are easy to hydrolyze. The processing needs few heat, the heating efficiency of the polymer particles is high, the temperature of the polymer particle is uniform, and a polymer particle microcellular foamed mould pressing molded product having fine pores, precise size and light weight is obtained.
THERAPY CUSHION, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR
Therapy cushion, comprising a cushion body, comprising a body part rest surface adapted to receive a human body part to be placed thereupon and comprising a first outlet opening therein and a first cavity being formed within the cushion body, wherein the first cavity is connected with the first outlet opening via a first outlet channel and wherein the first outlet opening is adapted such that a therapy compound stored in the first cavity can exit therethrough from the first cavity.
Shoe component and manufacturing method thereof
A shoe component includes a foam member including a thermoplastic material and a mixed material mixed to each other, wherein the weight percentage of the thermoplastic material is 90 wt % to 99 wt %, and the weight percentage of the mixed material is 10 wt % to 1 wt %. A manufacturing method of the shoe component is also disclosed herein.
Shaping device and production method for shaped object
In a shaping device, a sheet that distends due to being irradiated with electromagnetic waves is placed a conveyor belt. An irradiator irradiates the sheet placed on and conveyed by the conveyor belt with electromagnetic waves. At least one heater heats the conveyor belt.
POLYMER MATERIAL SUPERCRITICAL FLUID FOAMING AUTOCLAVE WITH INTERNAL HEAT EXCHANGE
The invention discloses a polymer material supercritical fluid foaming autoclave with internal heat exchange, comprising a horizontal autoclave body, an end cover and a spiral heat exchange coil pipe, wherein the heat exchange coil pipe is positioned inside the autoclave body and is mounted against an inner wall of the autoclave body, and a high/low-temperature heat exchange medium can be introduced into the heat exchange coil pipe. According to the invention, the internal heat exchange coil pipe is adopted for heat exchange, so that the heat exchange medium can directly and efficiently exchange heat with the supercritical fluid in the autoclave, and the heat exchange efficiency is improved, which solves the problems of temperature control delay and low efficiency due to the fact that the heat exchange is carried out only by a jacket of the autoclave body in common use at present.
FOAM MOLDED PRODUCT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
The present invention is to provide a thermoplastic polyester elastomer resin foam molded product which exhibits light weight, excellent rebound resilience and excellent surface smoothness. A foam molded product including a continuous phase formed of a resin component containing a thermoplastic polyester elastomer, wherein the thermoplastic polyester elastomer is prepared by bonding a hard segment and a soft segment, wherein the hard segment consists of polyester constituted from aromatic dicarboxylic acid and aliphatic and/or alicyclic diol as constituting components, wherein the soft segment is at least one member selected from a group consisting of aliphatic polyether, aliphatic polyester and aliphatic polycarbonate, wherein the foam molded product is constituted from, as a surface layer ranging from a surface of the foam molded product to a depth of 1000 μm, a surface layer consisting of only a foamed region in which a non-foamed portion having a cell density of 10% or less is not present, or the foam molded product has, as a surface layer ranging from a surface of the foam molded product to a depth of 1000 μm, a surface layer consisting of both a foamed region in which the non-foamed portion is present and a foamed region in which the non-foamed portion is not present, and wherein the foam molded product has a density of 0.01 to 0.70 g/cm.sup.3.
SCREW OF INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE FOR FOAM MOLDING AND INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE
The present disclosure relates to a screw of an injection molding machine in which a heating cylinder is formed with a first compression section, a starvation section, and a second compression section, and in which an inert gas is to be introduced into the starvation section. At a portion of the screw corresponding to the first compression section, a barrier flight as a double flight including a combination of a main flight and a sub-flight having a lead angle larger than that of the main flight is formed, and a dam flight having a predetermined-width ring shape is formed, downstream of, i.e., in front of the barrier flight. A seal structure to prevent backflow of the resin may be provided between the dam flight and the starvation section.
